New nvidia driver 522.25

Yeah light is either friend or foe with any of these protocols
As i use pointtrack 1.1 with accela and with use of my beamer setup i had to put the camera pointed from the back of my head facing from the beamer light but it works allright this way.

Locked at 30 for ages, doesn’t help in DX 12

I also get this CTD message after upgrading to 522.25.

My bad. I meant changing from DX11 to 12. I realized this when I woke up in the middle of the night.

There is a thread in the CTD category about this. It seems, that this driver freezes flights, when HAGS is turned on. I also had that and rolled back. Have not tested 522.25 without HAGS yet.

Look here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/latest-nvidia-driver-causes-lockup-in-sim/549590

What a disaster this nvidia driver update… first I’ve noted a decreaced performance in VR (at least 5 fps)…then started the driver/overheating message and CTD…
I had to roll back to the previous nvidia driver, and just then I could play again

No problems here either Win11 22H2 DX11
Cannot use new DSLL3 with old 1060 GTX

I have HAGS off. Switching to DX12 fixed it for me. Still get it on every load screen with DX11

Hmm I am glad that you are all getting massive improvements but my sim has been stuttering every few seconds since installing this update on my 2070s.

Edit: Nevermind it seems it was a flightplan I was using that the sim was having issues with, cut the plan in half and stutters went away; go figure.

Also had this prior to rolling back, notice GPU temps (3080ti) higher under load in all GPU intensive apps.

In the middle of nowhere maybe.

I said everywhere all of the time…

Nothing will run over 60 at 4K with LOD at 400 in 4K at JFK… even from the exterior view.

Yes me too.

DX12 is overloading my 3080Ti in an inexplicable way.

I’m sticking to DX11 and DLSS Quality (rendering at 1440p) at native 4K, for now.

But I only have LOD at 200 and Ai stuff at 15 percent.

Also reduced volumetric clouds to High.

At 30 fixed still get stutters as stuff loads in.

I think the streaming nature of the sim means there will ALWAYS be stutters.

PG scenery, internet bandwidth etc. just introduces too many variables that are never consistent.

It does immediately apply and it doesn’t immediately work that is true I agree. But I have noticed that if I restart the flight , not the game . There is a difference in frame rate. Is always, that’s just my experience

Dude you are seriously underusing that 3080Ti, even I can use your settings at JFK with my $400 rtx3060 (except without the stutters). If you’re in the beta the first thing you should do is change DLSS Quality to DLAA if not then at least use TAA @ 100%, remove any fps caps and retune from there. Try to match Mainthread and GPU render times as best you can before you apply the caps.

This comment right here lol ! How many times have we come on here very frustrated and angry at a driver or an update.Only to figure out that it was us or it was some sort of combination of settings. Or, it was our stupid computer that was causing the problem all along. This is not dismissing or saying people complaining do not have issues but we have to be so careful when most people say everything’s fine and some have problems. Most of the time the user is the error. And
… I speak from experience …to be clear !

No issues so far with the 522.25 driver. Only tried with DX12 in SU11b as that is the build I have. RTX3080 12Gb.

nobody notice 522.30 studio?

But you’re not getting 60 fps minimum. No-one is.

And DX12 is maxing out the Vram

Read more closely what I was saying.

I’m just waiting for someone to post a rtx4090, 5800X3D video, I reckon that would do it.

DX12 is still in beta.

I wonder if i9-13900K will give better results than 5800X3D.
