New pc and not sure on what graphic settings

Hello

I’ve just built a pc, coming over from Xbox series x, and I’m not sure what settings I should use, particularly resolution.

My spec is

Ryzen 7800x3d
Corsair Vengeance 64gb 6000mhz CL30
4070ti super

My tv/monitor is an lg cx 55”

Any tips on what graphics settings I should use and at what resolution.

Also rolling cache, not sure what to set this at on pc, on my Xbox I had it 64gb but didn’t really see any benefit.

Thank you

I would set the resolution as high as the TV will go. Rolling cache should be fine on default.

Great thanks, what kind of graphical settings should I aim for, medium/high? Maybe ultra?

I know pc has an array of graphical settings so just not sure what I should use.

Think there is this new dynamic setting as well I think, not sure what to set that to.

Hey Romo, congrats on the upgrade. Great CPU, Loads of RAM and a good value Vcard.
My suggestion is HIGH preset and clouds on ULTRA. LOD levels are tricky as they can drastically alter performance depending on the scenario.
Suggest 100 and 100 as baseline, until you get a feel for how far you can push it. WELCOME to the world of Tweaking settings

the Nvidia app will give you a good starting point.
then you can tweak from there.

I found (similar setup) it depends a bit which airports/aircraft you are using, as I usually find vram is the main issue with higher settings (ultra), ,so dial some back from there.
(that said I have the 4070 super, which has 12gb, rather than the ti super with 16gb)

I generally fly general aviation, but like to dabble with the airliners. Didn’t think of the nvidia app as I had that on my laptop and thought of it as bloatware, lol.

Thanks that’s very helpful.

Congrats RomoRocket! I will be following along to learn more about the Xbox to PC journey. So much to learn, especially where all the settings are concerned. Seems so easy to “spec” one’s rig right out of the performance envelope without much effort. Good tweaking!

The most nervous part is pressing the power button for first time!

I made sure I had my bootable windows usb and internet cable connected as well, and before I knew it, it booted into windows installation automatically.

Looking forward to setting it up some more tomorrow as still need get a windows key and update some stuff.

A little over 20 years ago I built a PC for MSFS, or whatever it was called back then. Windows, LOL! Cheers.
