doesn’t matter how many fans you have if they aren’t increasing in RPM under a load - if you are running MSI afterburner or similar you can ramp up the fan speeds. Many McPuter mfgs set the fans to run at their lowest settings to keep the case quiet - having heard that that is a selling point. They don’t care if your rig overheats as a result - they’ve already sold you the machine.
You really want water cooling if you can retrofit it - but definitely look into MSI Afterburner or similar if you don’t have that. You can set the fan speeds to increase under load. 85c is too hot
Don’t know if any of this will help you get better FPS but in general it will help prolong the life of any rig
