Dev team:We still have a few very very minors issue, but we could still release on time and patch it in 2 weeks as the issues are tiny and will not effect most people
Management:Have you seen how toxic and entitled and over the top the MS forums are ? Unless the aircraft is 100% correct with zero flaws whatsoever on it’s very first release it will create a furore. We are going to delay it.
I am big fan of old propeller planes but not only, a few weeks ago
i was in the Technik Museum in Sinsheim (Germany)
there you have old airplanes, from all eras, even the Concorde and the Tupolev Tu-144 !
Many of these Oldtimers you can enter and look at the cockpit and everything else.
Fascinating!
I only fly in VR and can’t wait to go virtually through the Junkers JU 52
EDIT: Two Junkers Ju 52/3m are on display in the aircraft collection of the Technik Museum Sinsheim. One wears a military camouflage paint scheme, such as was used in Russia during the Battle of Stalingrad. The second aircraft has a paint scheme that was common on Lufthansa passenger aircraft.
I dont understand how a day or 2 before release it suddenly needs 2-3 weeks of bug fixing? Like that’s a lot of fixing!! To only come to this conclusion at the 11th hour is quite a thing. There must be a huge amount wrong.
I like that they are fixing things rather than rushing out a unpolished product. If it came out with bugs the forums would be lit up with questions of ‘why release it in such a state, just delay it’. The devs can’t win in that regard.
But I do feel it was weird that the Q&A was canceled, Ju-52 delayed, and a bunch of marketplace additions rumored the next day. I hope they aren’t just rushing things to the marketplace to compensate as it seems things are off the rails a little.
I think the world update was fine, there will always be a few bugs, but the night lighting probably should have been caught. What bothers me was the pitiful list of bug fixes that came with it - I’ve seen longer patch notes from a month of work from 1-3 people indi dev teams…
Technically, they said “a few weeks” which in my book is potentially more than a “couple” of weeks. Cue another furore on 23 September when it doesn’t appear and those that don’t read things closely begin threatening legal action.
