New possibilities to distribute fixes and changes not via sim updates

In one of the videos someone mentioned that Asobo were hard at work fixing stuff that came up during the preview event and they managed to provide a fix in short time that just got downloaded to their sims at the venue.
That kept creeping around in the back of my head.

Given the new focus on streaming content from the cloud there are new possibilities to add/change/fix certain things without us having to wait for the next sim update. Some issues will still have to be fixed via sim updates, sure. Maybe most of the stuff that is contained in the initial 30 GB install.
But smaller issues, changes to textures, biome contents, animals, characters, AI models, aircraft, airports, career mode and mission contents, … could just be pushed from the cloud.
For things that can be downloaded to “my library” or that are cached locally that would “just” have to trigger a re-download.
Not sure if this has been addressed in more detail in one of the interviews or videos so far.

They have already said there are no world updates anymore. Those things will just be pushed to the cloud when ready and streamed to you during flight.

I assume they should be able to do something similar with airplane fixes since those are now streamed on demand.

Engine bug fixes will probably still require a sim update download.
