I was hoping it would be about 10-15% less expensive, but seems priced about right given it includes some POI’s and the Airbus facility. And as you said, DD does high quality work so I am sure it will be worth it. I’ll be buying this one.
At first glance, the airport might not seem a good addition since there are currently no airlines flying out of there. However at the end of this year, all commercial ops should shift from Mobile Regional (KMOB) to Mobile Int’l (KMFB).
Picked this one up today, it’s an easy recommendation if this airport, location or Airbus facilities are of interest to you. Typical DD quality craftsmanship, I didn’t note any obvious issues. Even though it’s not native 2024, it looks great and performed very well for me.
For those who want some additional eye candy and want to be ready for the future I recommend downloading this bridge.
It’s supposed to be starting construction soon but has experienced funding delays.
“Out on nowhere” is subjective as we regularly (weekly) publish pretty cool development updates on our Instagram that you may choose to follow: https://www.instagram.com/drzewieckidesign/
To be clear, the scenery does not currently have the entire production (assembly) line modeled though, such as we did in Renton or Paine. Also thanks to that, the airport is very performance friendly and still with tons of interesting stuff to discover.
