I don’t use the manual pump at all quick run of the electric pump with mixture full open and it soon goes out.
Flying again the Spit’ after quite a bit flying the Guimbal is a nightmare ![]()
A slight annoyance, the binding of the rudder trim to my joystick (WH, button 8 & 10) doesn’t work anymore. Anybody having the same problem ?
EDIT
I think I found the issue. The rudder trim wheel in the cockpit moves now extremely slowly, the rotation is almost imperceptible, but the rudder trim seems to work normally. It does not help the pre-take off setting though.
Anybody seeing the same ?
Hopefully we don’t get that version on the marketplace, hopefully we get the version with the various fixes discussed above. I’m quite happy to wait a couple of weeks longer to fly it without the gremlins.

Love the update. Just noticed something that I don’t remember seeing before the update. There is a reflection in the gun sight that is really blotchy/grainy. Its distracting. Anything change there? Maybe I just didn’t see it before. I was flying it right after I received the email update and its all I noticed for 20 minutes. Then I just tried to ignore it. Other than that, this is one of my top aircraft. Flys beautifully. Excellent work.
Much, much better on the ground for me now.
Wow! Great service. A developer who really listens to the community. Thank you Donny.
I can’t find any mention in the manual on how to bring up the tablet. It’s most likely that I’ve missed it, but maybe someone can let me know?
Click on the two bolts on the right side of the main cockpit panel.
I don’t think you’ve missed anything. I could’nt find any mention of how to bring up the tablet in the manual either, which is a bit of an oversight.
The info with the (new) click spot can only be found in the 1.3.0 changelog, which isn’t in the latest manual version either.
Hello Alex, any chance to update the jerky spinner in the future, like the P38 one, maybe?
Aileron trim, available in the tablet.
With this neutral the plane really wants to roll, even with rudder trim set to no slip. Do the Spit want 25-30% aileron trim to fly straight, or am i doing something wrong?
Also, I have realistic engine stresses enabled in the tablet, but even when abusing the engine I haven’t ever had a failure, and Ts&Ps are well within limits. The radio panel “D” - Off is default to damage enabled, if I read the manual correctly?
GotGravel on the aileron trim:
Really hope the update makes it to Xbox this week but doubt it most likely next week
What I like about this is how close it is to the DCS version. The flight models of warbirds in that are very advanced, and the one in MSFS is very, very close to it. It’s excellent.
Minus the guns, of course. Haha.
Anyone know if there is a B 17 G in our future?. Thanx.
I would pay good money for a fully functional B-17G. That would be amazing.
Im looking forward to flying my Spit alongside a Lancaster!
Mosquito is what we need…
Flyingiron have made me a Spitfire ‘Junkie’. By far the best single engine WW2 fighter in MSFS! I hope, eventually, FI will animate the prop pitch. That would be so cool!
I was a spitfire junkie before FI, but since the original release, and now this latest update. I find myself flying the Spit for day-to-day operations. LOL. My next step is to take online at VATSIM, hardest part, keeping below 200knots while with 5mn of an airfield…. ![]()
It’s VFR all the time. ![]()
