Anyone know which way the pitot heat switch works, seem to be two positions but no indication of which way is on or off.
In cold and dark, it defaults to the off position , which is forward IIRC. Aft = on.

Is it total blasphemy to fly the Spit with a Honeycomb Alpha? Anyone else who does this?
If you think about it, the real stick isnāt all that similar to what we use as a stick in flight simming either so neither a joystick or a yoke is very realistic in that sense.
Not blasphemy at all. I used to fly the spit with an alpha/bravo. Now I fly it with a force feedback yoke. Itās amazing. :). Recently started DCS with the spit (Boxing Day sale) and still using the yoke and taking down baddies (AI only so far) like a boss. LOL
Anyhow if you love the spitfire, fly it the way you like. 
Of course when I win the lottery Iāll build a full motion spitfire simulator or maybe a real one??? LOLOL.

Any word on an update for FS2024 compatibility? I donāt see anything on their website.
I asked the same question yesterday on their discord. This is what devs said in November:
Hey guys we are aware of the issues; despite what Asobo may have said 2020 aircraft are NOT truly compatible with 2024. We didnāt actually have a say in our 2020 aircraft fleet being automatically brought into 24.
We will be bringing them into MSFS2024 one module at a time, starting with the Spitfire. There is alot of work to be done converting the aircraft to 2024, and we expect each update to take several months.
You are of course welcome to enjoy the aircraft in 2024 as they are but just be aware that they wonāt be functioning as intended.
The good news is that the Spitfire will be receiving a massive upgrade as part of the transition, with an all new exterior model, overhauled systems programming, new variants, liveries, EFB integration, improved ground handling & so much more!

What wonders me about this post and the amount of work required:
their BF109 Messerschmitt from FS2020 seems to work perfectly for me so far (except for the missing pilot) (Steam, ingame MS store version).
But anyways, I hope the Spit will be back asap, Iām really missing it! I only see the clipped wing version, and also thatās not working properly.
ā¦this launch from MS/Asobo is such an unbelievable mess! Why did they not give the 3rd party devs an early accessā¦ I just donāt get it. But thatās off topic here

The Lightning works well too other than the tool tips are off the view in VR at least. As long as you know where the stuff is however, it works fine.
Oh, and the screens are quite dark, but readable.
I could not get the Fw 190 to take off. It seems to have a serious issue.
