Hi,
I want to give some feedback on the FN-333 Riviera which I purchased yesterday.
Firstly, I want to say that I enjoy flying this model tremendously!
But, there are some things that bother me:
1: SIM-EVENTS Communicated through SIMCONNECT
Some sim events communicated from the streamdeck using the simconnect interface are not working.
Examples of non-working sim-events:
FUEL_SELECTOR_1_LEFT / FUEL_SELECTOR_1_RIGHT / FUEL_SELECTOR_1_OFF
Example of working sim-event, which seems to indicate events are being sent to the sim:
LANDING_LIGHTS_TOGGLE:1 - which toggles the right landing gear switch.
Unfortunately, LANDING_LIGHTS_TOGGLE:2 (for the left landing light switch) does not work. I cannot get the left landing light switch to work.
Another example of a working sim-event is GEAR_TOGGLE
When I map these commands to one of my joysticks or the keyboard all of them work fine.
Only when the events come through simconnect they (some, not all, as described above) fail to register.
I use the same method (streamdeck+ in conjunction with the pilotsdeck plugin) to manage a number of my GA planes without encountering these issues.
2: STARTING A FLIGHT at a PARKING spot in the water (comes with scenery extension)
I know this is not a bug per se, but I still want to mention that it would be nice if the wing floaters would be extended (and the landing gear retracted) when starting cold and dark on a water surface. That’s the whole idea with these type of aircraft, right?
Some scenery enhancements provide parking spots in the water near a water runway.
I tried modifying the apron.flt file to force the wing floaters to extend when starting cold and dark, to no avail. On top of that; when I try to take off from this state the plane will not accelerate enough and the takeoff inevitably fails. Taking off from the “water runway” FLT does work fine.
I would love to get some help making this work; or even better; that a future update of this model would take care of this and make sure that when starting on a parking spot that is a water surface, the floaters are extended and the anchor is deployed.
Again, this model is great fun and I am enjoying it tremendously, and I hope this feedback will be received well.

Edit: the fuel selector can be set using the junction:1 simvar
