I took this for a spin for the first time and did and ILS approach the other day. I had the vertical deviation from the GS on the left side of the HSI.
Wow, that’s cool. I didn’t realize that at all.
This will definitely come in handy the next time I find myself in IMC.
Thanks for your report. I read somewhere about 2 hours of endurance which (with 30 minutes minimum reserves) would match your experience.
I will set up a Google Doc or something tomorrow where we can accumulate such data.
I thought it’s like with piston airplanes - not for performance boost but to get the fuel to the chamber before the engine is running properly, or in case there’s increased pressure needed (air pockets in the fuel hose etc)
Great pic btw!
AvAngel reviewed it very positively -
She also noticed how dirty the canopy glass is, so hopefully that is improved in future versions.
Another tiny tiny nitpick: I feel like the cockpit view position is just a little too far back, when I turn my head with headtracking I clip through the headrest slightly. I feel like it should be maybe 4-5 inches further forward. Maybe that’s something I can alter myself in the files?
Awesome, I’ve been hoping she would get around to reviewing it! She’s not into jets in general, but this one is quirky enough I thought it would be a good fit for her.
I can confirm that there’s an audio bug when the plane lifts off or lands on dirt/grass strips, it actually momentarily cuts the entire Windows’ system audio, so any youtube/Discord etc sound will cut out for a second. Someone else I was flying with that was using this plane also had this, though for them it was a buzzing sound apparently.
I’m not sure what exactly would cause this, but perhaps there’s an audio effect that tries to play at some incorrect sample rate or something?
Picked it up at simMarket while on sale, so much fun!
This is a no-brainer for 8€, great work, thanks.
Just bought this off Sim market but can’t get it to install, never had this issue with the site before so anyone have any idea what’s going on ?
What’s the problem you’re having? From your screenshot you haven’t entered the serial number, which will be on your Simmarket order page.
Ahh thanks for that, all sorted now
@MariopilotPD808 Just passing by to thank you for the update and to wish you the best to keep the good work you are doing!
Do you have any plans to bring another of your planes to MSFS after this gem?! Yes, I am going to buy it from you!
Hello and thanks!
I do have a bunch of future projects, and one in early works!
FN-333 Riviera, Piaggio PD-808, Dassault Mercure (this one will be a freebie). These models can be salvaged, and with the necessary improvements, join the MSFS ranks. One is already in early work, but will keep it a surprise! Older models of mine do not cut it, and may get re-done from scratch … or I may pick a completely new subjetct …
The PD808 and Mercure sound amazing, especially if the attention to detail and overall bang for the buck are anything like the Caproni has been! There’s definitely a shortage of pressurized aircraft with steam gauges in MSFS. I would even pay twice as much as the Caproni for the PD808, to make up for the Mercure being free and because it would be the first/only business jet so far with steam gauges.
I am excited about FN-333 Riviera. Seems like a really interesting and original project.
They all sound like great projects!
If you’re taking requests, any chance you could do the EMB 312 or the 314 Super Tucano?
Mario… so wild to read. It seems like you are coming from older sims into this (I am not familiar with your work on them but I do still actively use P3D and XP)… it sounds like you totally get it. This incarnation of MSFS is a different beast. Reading things like “can be salvaged” is heartbreaking. You did so well on your first release. Yes, the requirements are steeper, the learning curve is tougher, but the audience is also bigger this time. I humbly thank you for an amazing aircraft and an obvious passion and I wish you the best. I am looking forward to seeing more of your stuff in MSFS.
Does this aircraft have GPS or not? Will it follow my IFR route that i create in MSFS planner?
No, it’s a prototype aircraft from the 80s so only supports radio navigation (VOR/ILS and ADF) and doesn’t have an autopilot.
Oh wow, you really have a talent to dig up obscure but interesting airplanes from another age in aviation! I would consider myself an aviation nut but I’ve never heard of these. I just love this! Given the quality and price/performance of your C22J those will be Instant buys for me! Can’t wait!
