Thanks to your inputs I was able to solve both issues, and yes the start up was related to power management, but in an odd way. I am using Saitek flight panels, updated to the latest driver but somehow when going through the start up sequence, some of the power management switches get untoggled, and so have to go back and click them on screen to activate them. But otherwise it does all work now.

See my post above yours and you’ll see I use the Logitech switch and mulitpanels with it and what works/doesn’t work on the switch panels for me. As for the aircraft.cfg, all aircraft bought on through the game Marketplace have their files encrypted. If you want something you can modify, get it from elsewhere (this plane is available from several places). I know it doesn’t do you much good now, but something to think about in the future.
As for the Logitek panels (same thing as Saitek), I’ve had problems on and off as to what they control and what the mess up on different Sim Updates and planes. I’ve had problems with the JF Arrow with the switch panel too. Up until the last SU the fuel swicthes didn’t work on the Bandeirante but they work correctly now. I think a lot of it is MSFS/Asobo mucking around with the code,
Thanks for the input. If I complete most of the start sequence manually, then all has been working fine for me. As of now. I know what you are saying about inconsistencies. I have had planes working fine, such as the King Air B350, and now, when I get out of AP, the controls are 1000 more sensitive. Did not happen before. What has changed? Who knows. Other planes, have never had any issues what so ever, such as the cesna 172 or caravan 208. It does get frustrating at times that so called supported hardware does not work with all basic MSFS2020 provided planes, or if they work, some days better then other. But hey… this is Microsoft we are dealing with after all, so, only partially surprised.

Thanks for the input. And yes, for this plane I have to mostly do the start up manually and without relying too much on the flight panels. Found out the the two items causing issues are the buttons for the generators and for the batteries or ground power. Again, managing them manually solves the issues for me.
This is just one of the many issue of this plane. It looks barely right for the store, not enough quality/performance.

To his credit, he DID make a better aircraft than his dad managed… It’s better on just about every front. Unfortunately, the weird timeframe of releasing a patch for it by the end of the year and the weirdly overambitious development roadmap for this guy leaves me very cautious. That trust still hasn’t been built.

I don’t own the Dreamfoil version but have this version. This is interesting to hear. After listening to both in the sim or on youtube, they sound different. The dreamfoil version definitely has more textures built in especially the cockpit with the wear and tear of everything. It looks more dull and worn (like it should) and the next gen looks glossed over and I would say unrealistic. When I compare pictures and watching videos from Q8Pilot and his review of the Dreamfoil, they exactly look too similar. They are, however, the exact same plane. So of course some things might look similar.
Not to say anything bad because this is one my favorites in the sim right now. That and the Just Flight Arrow. The CRJ is cool and all but they still have bugs to work out and features to add IMO.
Why not hold them accountable? It seems like NextGen is ambitious and wants to help with the EMB and start with other planes. I think the more support we provide the better the results.
If its the case of Developer-Makes-Cheap-Plane-Then-Leaves then that will leave a terrible mark for their future.
Its safe to say with the likes of Carenado that everyone expects them to make low physics, low systems with nice looking textures. They’ve been doing that for years and they’ve doing very well as a business. Annoying? Yes. Extremely. But many people in flight sim want a mix of easy and something more difficult. Finding the in between is hard.
I would rather pay for an excellent plane, tons of features, made to be realistic but not everyone wants that. I understand that. This is why some like the CRJ have an easy “On” button to start everything up.
Me? I would rather have more options and get this EMB updated, improved textures, avionics, sounds, less twitchy on the physics maybe some navigraph integration on its tablet.
Consider @JayDee6281’s improvement mod if you enjoy this aircraft, but have minor complaints

Just a note that emergency patch ver 1.03 is out for those who haven’t got it. I ran the Nextgen updater from the Start menu and it always shows up to date with no update available. I had to go to Just Flight (where I purchased it from) to get the update. I imagine those that got it from Simmarket or elsewhere will have to do the same.

FINALLY…definitely sounds a lot better. Still kind’ve iffy on the fully spooled up engines…still giving me lawnmower/chainsaw/weed wacker vibes…but definitely sounds better than before. Looking forward to hearing it when it gets released. After hearing what the BlackBox Simulations team did with the Islander (A-fricking-MAZING btw)…it’s tough for me to go back to the Bandeirante as it is right now but would love to have something with a little more speed, range and cargo capacity in the hanger.

After the CRJ and the rubbish they produced there which still has multiple issues, with the updates only on the Marketplace schedule, and their oh so wonderful customer service… there is absolutely NO WAY I will buy another Aerosoft plane for this sim.

After SU5 the Show/Hide tablet button no longer works for me. It highlights but will not turn the tablet off.
In addition, pressing any button on the logitech switch panels automatically turns on the generators…
EDIT: Carlos from NextGen sent me a futher patch V 1.03a to fix the tablet issues.
