New Release: ORBX Blackwing BW 635RG

sorry I’ve seen it in Luis’s video, in case it’s useful to someone, you touch the screen on the radial sphere and you have the distance options and other things. I am totally happy!

The Blackwing does not work if the user has changed the in-game flight model to “Legacy”. Change it back to “Modern” and it will be fine.

@pacojiro regarding the power, just check you don’t have a prop lever conflicting with the power control logic: New Release: ORBX Blackwing BW 635RG - #98 by FlyGuyDownUnder

For those who purchased Blackwing through the Orbx store, there’s an update for the AP issue as pointed out by some. It’ll be available on the MSFS Marketplace once it’s gone through their release process.

Thanks, but I don’t have any problems with the power. If with the AP, if I turn it off with a button on the joystick then it doesn’t work again. I hope this is what solves the announced launch.

You have to push the disconnect button again. I have this problem with several aircraft.

I will try it, thanks…

Fantastic news about the AP issue, thanks for the patch and continued support of the product! It seems that the horizon line and level flight are misaligned at this stage still for me at least, such that I will gain altitude if flying level to the horizon - which does not seem to be the case for other tested aircraft. Are others noticing this as an issue?

My dad has exactly the same problem, even if he disconnects all his hardware. Did you figure out what the problem was so maybe I can help him out?

Thanks!

-Emile.

Yes ! They respond … you only have to change from historical to modern or modern to historical, don’t remember…. It works !

The flight model should be “modern” and not “legacy”, legacy has problems and conflicts with all sorts of planes not only the Blackwing.

Nice update(s) so far, the fixes have helped but some bugs still remain and a few things to do IMO. The ENT button on the transponder is not clickable/functioning correctly. We need to click enter for the countdown or regular timer function to start. Cant press it so we can’t use the timer(s). The ingame checklist should be updated to include the 2500 RPM runup check, its missing. Fuel pressure indicator is missing (and is called for in the PDF checklist to check). Overall the PDF Documentation needs to be updated to include the items that are missing and or not referenced such as the Reserve, ACC and ESP switches.

TLDR:
Bugs/fixes needed:
A) ENT key transponder not clickable and timers don’t work due to this.
B) Ingame checklist missing items such at 2500rpm runup and fuel pressure checks - parody with included PDF documentation needed
C) Documentation missing on ESP (DOES function ingame thanks for making this work correctly, its awesome!)
D) Documentation missing on Reserve switch
E) Documentation missing on ACC switch (though I think this is just a visual element to “sim” a power an accessory port to charge phones ect IRL?)
F) Documentation missing (and checklist use in emergency) for the standby battery switch.

FMI for those who are wondering what the ESP switch is; Understanding Garmin Electronic Stability and Protection (ESP) | Garmin Blog

Flightsim.to mods; 75% tint reduction and “dual engine data with gallons”

I am also using the 75% tint reduction from flightsim.to. It would be very nice if the devs could include an option to change this ingame somehow. I’m also using the “dual engine data with gallons” mod from flightsim.to. I put a ticket in to the devs and they said this could not be done - but the mod clearly shows otherwise.

Overall I’m very happy with the purchase of this. Its well done for a small plane. Now if we could ONLY convince the folks over at WTT that the 3gx needs update FAR, FAR more than a SINGLE boeing or airbus…

Just picked it up for 19,99 euro’s from the market place (I’m on Xbox and it’s not on sale on the marketplace for some unknown reason…) But the main problem is that it is not usable… :frowning: It won’t move on the runway even with full power… and when flying it eighter stalls or speeds up to 400 kts and destroys itself… I tried all sorts of things but to no avail… :frowning:

Is it possible to engage IAS mode on the Autopilot?

Tried flying it yesterday and no matter what I did couldn’t get it to engage. Standard VS mode was fine.

Probably just me but appreciate any confirmation.

In some of the more advanced planes, rudder pedals double as fuel tank selectors

Maybe you have the flight model set to legacy? It must be set to modern for this plane and practically all MSFS planes.

Thanks, I did have it set on legacy… it flies beautifull now

Hello everyone,
I’m excited to download the Blackwing. But after I release parking brake on runway, full power, the Blackwing stays as if the brake never released. It behaves the same on ramp. And it happens only to Blackwing instead of DA40NG or any other airplane.
I’ll appreciate if anyone could share a clue to solve it. Really want to fly it in the air.

Please look at the posts just above your own.

Thank you very much. The problem solved by change flight model from Legacy to Modern.
