Hello @HamMan2118
How should I post a new message in the forum?
Hello SimFligthSt:
Welcome Aboard!!
This link will answer your question:
Hi there!
Microsoft Flight Simulator is my first flight sim!
I am loving it, despite being suffering a lot even with my starter plane (Cessna 152).
Anyway, great sim.
Welcome aboard EWSG576!
I’ve been here for about 3 years and still enjoy flying the Cessna 152.
I also spend a lot of time in the Cessna 172 (Steam Gauge).
See ya in the friendly skies.
Thank you, @CooganBear !
Glad to know. I hope to have amazing times with this flight sim.
I am struggling with Cessna 152, but also learning a lot!
there are a ton of resources available here in the forums and on youtube concerning how to fly the C152, and C172, as well as general technics. Welcome to the sim Sky’s. Do you use Xbox or PC? I am happy to share many different resources to bring your immersion to the next level.
Hi, sorry I’m going off topic… But, how do I create a new post? I have nothing that allows me to do so on the page .
Thanks and sorry…
Hello Ringueur:
Welcome Aboard!
If you read up a few posts you will find a Trust Levels post.
That will answer your question.
Hi, pleasure to have you with us!
There are a few restrictions to creating topics, outlined below.
The forum uses this thing called “Trust Levels.” This basically a way so that new members don’t “hurt” themselves as they learn the forum and the features that come with it. To create a topic, you must be at Trust Level 1. There is more info here: Trust Levels and How To Advance
Achieving Trust Level One is easy. The criteria is:
- Enter 5 Topics
- Read 5 Posts
- Spend at least 15 minutes reading posts on the forums
Once you meet that criteria you will receive a system message that you have been bumped up to TL1
You can also look here for more details on why you cannot make a topic: Why Can't I Create a Topic?
See you in the skies!
Good morning my name is Will. I am very new to online gaming, although have been playing the sim nearly 2 years now I have predominantly played it on my own, but I’d really like to get into group activities!
I still am very confused of how discord works. I’m hoping my son will be able to help me. Look forward to flying together soon.
Rgds
Will
Hello and welcome to the Forums!
Discord is quite easy to use.
It has categories, just like most forums, but it is more of a “chat” where you can type in your topic, or use voice if you have a mic and want to use that.
Welcome @Fishboi2803!
Glad you have joined the forum As Sevenflyer said, Discord is easy to use. It is a little confusing at first but after a little bit it’s becomes familiar.
There is an official guide by Discord as well with a tutorial:
https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045138571-Beginner-s-Guide-to-Discord
Feel free to send me a forum DM if you need anymore help with Discord, happy to assist as needed
See you in the skies!

**Hi, you can call me: Geoff
I am playing Microsoft Flight Simulator on: PC
**I want to try flight simulation because: Its relaxing
I’m most interested in learning about Instrument Flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator:
Hi all. Glad to be onboard.
I’m a “mature” pilot, having flown all version of MSFS since the beginning (worked in IT for 35+yrs and was there for the start of PC’s being widely available).
I’ve not “flown” for years but have recent got back into it and bought a Xbox X setup with Velocity Yoke / Throttle etc to have some fun during my retirement.
I’ve flown a few real planes too as well as built and (still) fly R/C models.
Looking forward to picking your brains when I have an issue.
Cheers
Kenny
