Hello StoryGirl.
Welcome to MSFS 2020. I’m in Alaska. Retired, so on most days.
Part of the Flight Crew in the Forum. Can assist if you like.
Fly GA Aircraft. Bush flights. Also the a320 Airbus, fair understanding Flight Computer. F-18 Hornet, Eurofighter Typhoon!
Add me if you like.
Also I’m on Xbox X

Thanks Rich,
I’m mostly flying airliners at the moment, so pretty au fait with MCDU config on the A32X series, B78X and the ERJ regional birds. I’ve got a good number of hours logged in the C700 and DA62 in the smaller/GA end of things.
If there’s anything I can’t figure out I’ll be sure to let you know! ![]()
Cheers
Jemma/StoryGirl
Hi Rich! Been awhile since I’ve been on the forum here. Got a quick question concerning video settings. I am currently using a PC (specs upon demand) and I’m using a 55” LG 4K tv. Are there optimal settings for the tv as well as the graphics card? I have a Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU. The cockpit and glare shield are blurry and I can’t seem to get the settings right. Can you help?
Hi, how do I add you? Thanks.
Good morning Jemma. Sounds like a plan. Look forward to assisting you.

Hello, how are you, I have the MSFS2020 Steam with the latest, updated… the bad thing is that when I do long flights the simulator closes, sometimes I uninstall it, but in any case…, greetings from Santiago, Chile

Hello Dionisio9365.
Sorry to hear you sometimes have issues with the sim, but “welcome to the forums”
I do want to point out when you are using the forums, your posts need to be in English.
The exception is the Friends, Clubs & Groups category, where you can use any language to help you find users to connect with.
If you need any help with your issue, let us know!
Hi dear fellow FlightSimmers,
my name is Phil and I just recently (re-)installed MSFS2020 to my brand new machine.
I have been a fan of MSFS for quite some time, remembering first seeing it in V5 (back in the 90s). Over the years computers and interests have changed so there were long breaks (for me) from flight simming (as in several years sometimes) - especially since my last few computers simply were not capable of handling the hw requirements.
But I always have watched flightsim videos (or related stuff like ‘home cockpits’). Now that I have a new computer, I thought it was time to install the last version I purchased (MSFS2020 Deluxe) to it and get into flying again.
One thing I am especially interested in is really mastering the ‘basics’ again because I forgot a lot of things and with highly complex and technical procedures an ‘older brain’ like mine (50 yrs and counting) sometimes frees up HDD space for something else. ![]()
Besides flightsim I also have a family and a few other hobbies (e. g. I am a passionate triathlete) which take up more or less the rest of my time.

Looking forward to interesting conversations here with all of you experts and pro pilots ![]()
Cheers,
Phil
Hi @derKowinator and welcome to the forums! ![]()
With regard to " mastering the ‘basics’ again", there are the tutorials in the game that you could fly, lot’s of videos on YouTube, of course, and also a number of tutorials using the Cessna C172 & C152 that you can find in the Community Guides category on this forum.
Hopefully these will get you flying like a pro! ![]()

I am a flight simmer from S.E.A. ![]()
I absolutely love Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, but cannot enjoy it as much due to performance issues. I created an account here to hopefully ask for tips or advice from fellow simmers as to how to achieve a smooth flight.
I fly on both X-Plane 12 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, I would really prefer to fly more on MSFS since all my add-ons are here and also spent a few on payware aircraft.
I hope to learn more about the simulator and how to optimize it better!
Hello Sernawe. Welcome to MSFS 2020.
S.E.A? Where is that?

South East Asia. Looks like he/she is from the Philippines.
Hi!
I’m from the UK, my local airport is EGNX. I’ve been into flight simming since Flight Simulator 2000, which I used to play on my grandmothers computer at the tender age of 8. I used to love attempting to fly the concorde even though I had absolutely no idea what I was doing!
I then took a long break, as my PCs following that were always unable to run simulators until FSX. That’s when I fell back in love with simming and started to take it more seriously. Now, on MSFS 2020 I tend to lean much towards the Airbus family, flying the FBW A320NX and now, the A380X.
In the real world, I work in the emergency services as a member of the green family, so it’s nice to come home from a shift and take a flight somewhere. It’s nice to say hello to you all!
Hi, I am making a return to MSFS after many years of absence from flight sims.
So much has changed since the early version I flew back in the day. I am going to wait until 2024 release. Not sure if I will opt for 2020 version to be kinder to my PC. No doubt I will be posting seeking advice, and reading through the forum posts.
Great to meet you all bye for now.
MercDriver.
Hi @GameBench829622 and welcome to the forums! ![]()
If you are concerned as to whether MSFS 2024 will perform well on your PC, I think you are wise to wait until after November 19th & see what other say about it’s performance.
However, since everyone’s PC is different (even with 100% identical hardware, your software & settings will be different) one option to see if MSFS 2024 will work on your specific hardware & software could be to purchase Game Pass, since MSFS 2024 is one of the supported games, as per the MSFS 2024 FAQ:
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is launching for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming on November 19, 2024. It will be available Day 1 on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass UItimate.
That way you could try it out before deciding if 2020 would be the better option. ![]()
