New simmer here got a series X just for this game really enjoying it so far. Just want them to change the accents as having ameican english not UK english accents isnt realistic maybe add a language pack or some option to change ai voice UK, American english, Spanish etc. But yeah new flight simmer with experience in the aviation industry who has flown a few times and worked on board. Really love the game despite its early floors.

Hello All
You can call me Mike. I’m returning to MSFS after a long abscense and playing 2024 on PC.
I’ve alsways been interested in flying, flew gliders as a teen (45+ years ago) and solo’d a few times on the path to a PPL but that proved too costly to pursue.
I’m looking to re-kindle my love for flying through the sim and will have a load of questions I’m sure.
Hi folks,

Happy flying ![]()
Hello everyone,
I’m very happy to be here.
I’ve been playing MFS24 for about twenty days now, and I’m completely captivated by it, having already invested many hours into the game.
I tried the 2020 version, but only briefly.
The new career mode really hooked me, convincing me to dedicate a lot of my time to learning and having fun.
I play on Xbox Series X and, for now, I’m successfully using the gamepad.
I’ve already learned all the basic controls on the joypad and how to move around easily within the cockpit and on the tablet.
If this passion grows, as I think it will, I’ll probably move on to third-party hardware that will make the simulation even more immersive.
As I said, I’m happy to be here, and it’s not just a figure of speech—I really mean it.
I’ve noticed that the forum is very active and full of useful information for a beginner like me, in a time when quick-bite social media information makes it difficult to find the advice one is looking for, and discussions tend to be quite shallow.
Currently, I’m spending a lot of time practicing with Cessna and light twin-engine planes.
My goal is to specialize in commercial passenger aircraft, but the road—or rather, the flight path—is still long, as I want to take it step by step.
Do you know what the best part of all this is?
It’s that I don’t even feel that comfortable flying in real life.
I’m always a bit tense during a flight, even though I’ve never ruled out the idea of flying, even on long-haul flights.
But now, I’d rush to the airport for a short-haul flight to experience the thrill of takeoff and landing and enjoy a bit of cruising, with the new awareness I’ve gained from playing the simulator.
Hi @kANfA - welcome to the forums! ![]()
I’m so glad that you are enjoying MSFS 2024 on your Xbox X!
When you are ready to invest in 3rd-party hardware, feel free to ask for advice in the User Support Hub . There are many, many folks who can (and do) advise on the best hardware from personal experience. No question is too “simple” - for example, we have had folks with no PC hardware knowledge purchase & build their own custom PCs for MSFS with help from users on this forum. ![]()
Good luck with your career & happy flights!
