Nobody said it should be easy. You sell your product (e.g. sound set) for good money, you are expected to be an expert.
To clarify: 3D recording is not a requirement. I commented on making the jump from 1D (mono) to 2D (stereo). For ambient sounds, that is sounds that come from all directions inside a plane (e.g. engine hum, wind noise in flight) you aim for a correlation factor of around ± 0. The recording needs to be with a stereo mic and you need to know how to set it up. Wondering how that was done here.
This sound set is also missing real life low frequency content. E.g. touchdown noise with high level in the low frequencies. Again, take Milviz C310R as a study case, it’s done very well there.
