New terrain mesh updating a bit late?

Even at TLOD 200 the terrain keeps updating very late, always an eyecatcher. In the not so far distance islands look ugly because the water seems to creep up the shoreline in triangular shapes. I don’t remember this from the 10 meter Hawaii mesh in FSX. Maybe there were no lower resolutions, so we could either handle it or not, dunno.

The mesh breaks up from time to time in mountainous areas too revealing blue sky where terrain should be. I have noticed it a lot since the update and have filed a bug report. Something is not quite right.

Yes it is a byproduct of the latest changes in terrain load to try and reduce CPU usage. There’s a few threads open about it
