Welcome @rabbit33!
Chile is a beautiful place to fly, especially the Patagonia region in the south! Some absolutely breathtaking scenery there!

Hello, I am very new to flight siming. I have just replaced my 10 year old PC with a new build - Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64GB ram, Nvidia GeFotce RTX5070 TI and Asus proart X870e creator motherboard and 2 x NVMe M2 2TB SSD. I built this with editing photos in mind but having “played” with MS FlightSim more than 20yrs ago I was keen to see how it would run on my new PC. MS FlightSim has come so far and I am currently struggling with how complex it has become! Hopefully this group will be invaluable!
Hi and welcome to the sim. YouTube videos will definitely help you. There have been loads produced since the start of msfs 2024 in November 24.
It is a massive learning curve, you will get there, keep at it, it is very rewarding. ![]()
Thank you - I can already feel it sucking me in ![]()
Hi all,
New here to the forum, not so new to the FS community. My nickname is CaptainMarut and by profession I am a weather observer at EHAM, so I produce METARS, and actual runway weather messages for pilots and air traffic controllers. As if being paid to watch around the airport all day isnt enough I spend my freetime in the sim, which I am doing already since FS2000…FS2000 and FS2002 were just playing, seriously simming started with FS2004 when I first learned the PMDG 737 which until today is still my favorite medium haul liner… See you all soon in the skies!
Welcome, @CaptainMarut ![]()
Hi My name is Andrea, I am rather old as I started with Flight Sim on a Commodore 64
. Then I used for sometime FSX, but after that I abandoned WIndows for a Mac and stopped using FSX. So I bought a PS5 and waited waited waited… till 8 december 2025. Great day to restart. Now I got used to the controller, attached a keyboard and mouse and waiting for new features (e.g. replays) and a compatible joystick device seen that the only one potentially usable is unfindable.
Welcome Andrea, I am not sure which country you are in but what I did, if you want the Hotas 4, is to put in an e-mail reminder with Thrustmaster themselves. I also found Thrustmaster on Amazon and at the time they were selling them on back order.
We are also hoping other companies will start to make peripherals for the playstation and in March I think there is going to be a flight sim show in the EU, so we think someone might have one ready for that - hopefully.
The Hotas 4 works OK with the mouse, keyboard and controller. It is easier than the controller on it’s own for sure.
