New update (World Update 5) wrecked my Bravo Throttle profiles

Anyone else experience this? I’m now rebuilding my entire 4 engine airliner profile as for some reason it now had engines 3/4 bound to propeller axis instead of engine throttle! Reverse thrust in those engines are also now set to toggle feather switch. ■■■ happened??? Was working fine till this latest update. Scared to look at my other profiles and I swear to God if I have to recreate all of them I’m gonna tear my hair out.

Well maybe it switched profiles? Can’t you cycle to your other profiles?

Something happened where the 4 engine airliner profile and dual prop profiles got mixed together. No idea how in the world that could happen but it did. I had to fix the assignments for both profiles engine thrust/prop axis and reverse thrust. They are now corrected and luckily the other profiles are unaffected but they’ve been working perfectly fine up till this latest update so no idea why this happened. Everything fine in X-Plane so it’s only on MSFS side.

Ahh okay. As long as it’s corrected now…

All the stuff surrounding the sim is still very unstable.

Thus every update brings its own little adventures

This happened to me constantly with my Bravo. I never found a solution and never got any response from Zendesk. I got so fed up with it I bought SPAD.next and couldn’t be happier. No more random re-assigning or wiping out profiles that I spent hours setting up. With SPAD once you set it up, it changes profiles automatically for each airframe. Load up and fly.

So wait, SPAD auto changes profiles based on the plane? I’ve been wanting this for awhile now, already a default feature of X-Plane so I don’t get why MSFS doesn’t have it yet and it’s such a huge pita the have to remember to change profiles before each flight or landing challenge.

Yes it does. I didn’t like the idea of having to spend more money to get this to work, but it’s well worth it. I also have a Streamdeck and it’s awesome. SPAD makes it easy to program any buttons or parameters. It also allows you to get harder to use dials (think CRJ controls) to work.

Which update are you talking about?

I’m guessing Sim update 4? The latest one with the Nordic areas and such.

Sounds interesting. Is SPAD creating virtual input’s (a bit like Joystick Gremlin with vJoy) or does it manipulate the games own controller profiles?

I would actually be looking for a method to do exactly as you describe - have different input profiles for each aircraft type but with easier management than the base game provides…

Hey i have noticed a similar bug that has happened lately. Basically the the two first axises on the throttle quadrant are messed up. What happens is that the throttle movement o to 100 doesnt work it goes straight from 0 to 50 % , the axis works from 50 % to 100% power and back down to 50 % , but from 50% it goes all the way to idle obviously thats not the way it should work , it should got from 50% to 40 30 etc. Anyone else had a similar problem.?

This is a general MSFS problem with input profiles; sometimes if you click things in the wrong order while loading it overwrites one profile with data from another.

It’s extremely bad.

I strongly recommend when you work with the Controls options page to very explicitly click on the correct input device and profile and wait to make sure it has loaded before making any changes. Otherwise this happens and you have to manually clean up.

Personally I’ve abandoned using MSFS’s input bindings for anything but the view controls (because they don’t work over SimConnect) and run everything else through spad.next. As noted elsewhere, this is able to switch automatically based on plane which helps a lot – you might still have to physically switch levers on the Bravo but that part’s easy.

Many people have had the problem where half the axis works; you might want to search for this specifically. Usually I think it’s resolved by picking the right axis binding (there are both 0 to 100% and -100% to 100% bindings for several axes).

Yes I had that when I first set it up. First thing you need to do is make sure you are using the Throttle Axis and not the one that says Throttle Axis 0-100%. If you are using throttle axis and still having the problem delete the bindings and leave it blank. Save the profile, then go back and reassign the binding and save the profile.

I had one of my profiles completely wiped of all inputs. I was switching profiles and the sim got stuck in loading until I had to back out to main menu. When I returned, my entire profile for one of my inputs was wiped clean. >>golf clap<<

I have done all the recommendations even on the default twin engine profile the problem persists the only thing i can think of is reinstalling the sim im out ideas , but thx for all the advice from everyone:).

Did you leave the honeycomb configurator bindings blank? Cause that’s what I did. I didn’t touch any of the bindings through the honeycomb app only through flight simulator and X-Plane settings.

Yes i have tried everything my only hope is that the next sim update will fix this annoying bug:).

Not exactly sure how SPAD connects with FS, but it does not change anything in the simulator profiles. I suggest trying the 14 day free trial. I did and I was hooked. Tonight I was buzzing around Seattle adding more and more buttons in the 172 to my Stream Deck. In combo with the honeycomb alpha and bravo, it’s sweet.
