New user, apologies if these are solved/old issues?

New user here, been reading forums since began building sim months ago but just joined. Just an avaiation fan/simmer, with cert pilots in my family. Any help or links appreciated, have any of these issues been solved yet:?

*Breakdancing upside down aircraft in parking areas at smaller airports
*taxi lamps sprouting in odd spots in taxiways
*after selecting runway, press 2 to announce taxi, wrong runway called out and have to reselect and reannounce.

  • better but still weird sometimes.
  • Depends on the airport still.
  • Vanilla ATC still trash. Better, but stick to no ATC or vatsim (or payware option)

*taxi lamps sprouting in odd spots in taxiways

I keep collisions turned off so I just run over misplaced taxi lamps as well as annoying vehicles on the taxiways. I also run over aircraft parked on the runways. I expect they’re pilots like me that are running over the flight plan while just sitting in the wrong place. Maybe thay spawned on the runway and not at a gate or parking space. I believe the taxi lamps and airport vehicles are autogenerated and will be improved sometime. Also, you didn’t mention the pushback tug always in the way of GA taxi. I just pretend I don’t like the guy and run over him. Hey, not realistic but neither is sitting at my desk playing pilot.

Even with collisions on, it doesn’t count collisions with taxi lamps, people, or vehicles*. Drive right through 'em. :wink:

  • Occasionally there’s a fixed 3d object in scenery to represent a parked plane. These are distinct from static parked or dynamic AI or multiplayer aircraft!
