Newbee wants to share Flight Simulator for others users on the computer

Hi team

I bought FS 2020, and a new Gamer PC to make it fun for my 2 kids.

However, I don’t understand how to share the application with them, as they have their own account on the PC. Do have I to pay one licence per kid ?

Thanks a lot for your advices

No. See the post at https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/583664-multiple-profiles-on-one-msfs-install/.

This howto just works for Steam users since it has a dedicated Family accounts feature.

When buying via Microsoft Store, I did not see any such feature yet other than signing in with the same XBox account (which is possible for different windows accounts).
So all users need to sign in to the same XBox account, the one where the game has been registered with.

if they are kids, then they just should not play without parent overwatch… Thus, just open the game with your acount and let they fly

my kids are 16  and of course we are cautious regarding what they do on the computer. But I can’t stay close to them for hours when playing FS2020. And for security issues, I don’t want to let my account open to my teams, with my docs, etc…

ok, thank you. I’ll try. I wonder if settings will be shared, or if we can personalize our own experience

MS is just not Steam, which allows sharing for familiy…

but anyway… in two years they are no longer kids… officical at least

Just used steam as example, the family accounts are on Windows. You just need to copy a MSFS shortcut for each account on the computer and then have them start MSFS and sign into their profile (top right of main menu) from their computer account on the computer.
