Newbie help appreciated

Hi, a newbie from the UK here. Completely new to any sort of flight sim but I have bought the FlightSim 2020 for my PC. Not doing too bad but having trouble controlling the accuracy of approach. I guess I’ll get there…

Would appreciate some advice though. I’m looking to buy a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog (stick&throttle). Is this a good compatible match for the PC based FlightSim 2020? And any thoughts on whether this would be a good control to buy. Are there any pitfalls or known problems?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t own one but from everything I’ve read it’s an excellent stick & throttle. If you’ve got $500 in your pocket burning a hole, Honeycomb Yoke and Bravo is the way to go.

I neither own one. Looks good quality but,
It has no rudder control (No Stick twist) which means that you will also need pedals.

I have that stick and throttle. They are outstanding, extremely accurate and realistic, (and very heavy to go with it being almost identical to the actual aircraft controls), so go for it if you have the funds!

But like the other poster said, it has no twist stick so you’re going to need rudder pedals as well if you go for the Warthog HOTAS and that’s going to push the price up quite a bit more, especially if you get the matching pedals.

I hope that helps and welcome to the forum.

Thank you for your thoughts. I look forward to giving it a go. Hopefully better than a keyboard input…
