Hello everyone.
I may be on a track.
This is what the msfsplugin gives me: A connection could not be established because the target computer expressly refused it [::1]:11000, but I don’t see what I can do. Thank you for your help
Well, bought the HF8 and it’s not working with the supplied software, what a surprise… well, not in msfs what i was supposed to be using it for… Hoping for the devs to come up with a solution, because these workarounds are a pita, and still dont work in my case… whereas they should be supplying a working software with quite an epic product for it’s price… have got it working in SSA, but would like to use the originally intended software to it’s full usage… quite bummed i spent the last 2 days expirimenting and not enjoying this plug and play product as it shouldhave worked. Sent a support ticket to them, if i can help as a user, if there is a need, but felt like i should report myself to the list.
Sometimes the plugin doesn’t even start out of it’s own, and i think it might be sending data, it just doesn’t get picked up by the product… translationissues maybe because of specific setups maybe… dunno, through taskmanager it seems to pull data from the flightsim.
Also weird that the website mentions it works best on win10/64 bit systems (one in the list), but then is seen in taskmanager at 32 bit… but i might be reading that wrong.
Anyways… i’m joining the gang of hopefulls that Next Level Racing pulls a rabbit out of their hat soon to get this product to work properly. sigh
I have found that the Hf8 software will not work with both SSA and the legacy simconnect client installed.
Try removing them both first.
Worth trying although I have both of these also installed and HFS software works flawlessly for me.
Lovely sir, but i tried them after i ran out of (how-to-get-the-default-software-to-work-) options… so finally got some kind of flightsim functionality from the HF8 thanks to them, not despite of them… but thanks for the advice! Much appreciated… you must be one that actually got it working! Good for you!
Are you 100% sure you are following the instructions correctly with the HFS software?
You are definitely starting the software AFTER the sim is fully up and running?
You have disabled the Autostart with Windows option in HF8 as this will mean the software is running before MSFS is started and thus not work?
Worked fine for me straight out of the box. SSA also works fine with the legacy simconnect installed. Both work on their own and both installed on my system at the same time.
Chris
My HF8 software works great! But Simconnect always stops running, as most mentioned above.
Yes, yes and yes… and even do the manual logon every time… as mentioned, i tried every trick in the book as far as it’s written for now. I’m pretty computer savvy, so i even tried a couple of tricks that were not described yet, but nothing yet from the first two beta versions… even with the other programs uninstalled.
As for now: NLR got back to me and reported they are still working on the issue.
Has anyone gotten this error message about every 5 to 10 minutes and it shuts the HF8 down until you achnowledge the error and then the cushion starts back working? I’ve looked on the simshaker website(s) for support but I cannot locate any.???
I haven’t seen that before. Can you see a failure in Win Reliability History? Or event viewer?
Yes, I have seen it once in DCS. On the DCS forum there are more users reporting this error. A fix is still not know…Someone suggested its the “USB Power mode” (set it in device manager to off).
Hello everyone.
For me, this never worked in MSFS. I really tried everything. The msfs plugin starts but does not work. I wrote to Next Level Racing Simulations and this is the reply I got yesterday…
“Thanks for your email and update, it is greatly appreciated.
I have followed up with the development team on this.
I’m hoping I can provide you with a new version within the next 1-2 business days.
I appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this process.
Kind regards,
Will”
There is some hope that it will finally work for me.
Whoa - fingers and toes crossed!! ![]()
It is so very strange that it doesn’t work for some systems. I don’t understand it at all.
Let us know how it goes please ![]()
I recommended this product to Got Gravel recently and he bought it, then messaged me the day it arrived saying it doesn’t work. My heart skipped a beat I must admit, but I told him the trick to only start the app after a flight is ready and it worked. Phew!
I see they actually have that info in a popup from the icon at the very top right of the window. Never noticed it before, but obviously that isn’t working for you guys.
Probably old news, but just got an updated beta version of HF8 software. From 1.1.2.7 to 1.1.3.8. Seems to work fine for me still. I didn’t notice any new features, nor saw a change log.
I’ve been thinking of purchasing an HF8 and I’ve been reading through all these responses. I wanted to offer some advice in the event it might help someone. IF you’re using some type of anti-virus software (like Defender) and you have ‘protected folders’ and that software is trying to install config files there, it may not work. Generally these are files that get installed on your C: drive. I had that problem with Airport Design Editor, HudBar, and one other that I can’t remember. If this software is trying to install config files locally and trying to access them while it’s running, that may be causing a problem.
As I said, it may not be related at all, but in some cases after I opened those files to allow access everything worked fine. Best of luck, hope that helps you somehow.
I can confirm that this new 1138 software finally fixed the not working error in MSFS for me.
You still have to open a flight and take place on the pilot seat and then start the software, but we already know that…Also when you switched the plane you have to close the software and start it again, but that was also a now issue. For now i think the Simshaker does a better job for heli, but have to try some more configs. For GA planes the effects are really good with the config from the Simhanger video on Youtube.
Now we have to wait for support for DCS ![]()
There is still something at play I suspect as I have not had any issues with the HFS software and that includes switching aircraft - the seat continues to operate as expected without the need to restart the software.
Well I don’t know why I was so stupid to put on the latest version when I didn’t have any problems, but I do now ![]()
Had 2 CTD’s, with error like this, if it means anything to anyone?

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

The application must also be compiled with debugging

…do these guys know what they are doing?
There was also a .net update I had to install today though:
2023-06 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5027119)
I am going to try install the old version over the top and hope it corrects it, but it runs some things in a Command Prompt when you install, so not sure there is a really clean way to uninstall and reinstall the older version.
EDIT: The uninstaller (from add / remove programs) seems like it does a decent job of a full clean removal (with Windows you never really know!) but I uninstalled > rebooted > installed the previous 1-1-2-7-beta > rebooted again… and touch wood it’s fine again now.
I will send that error to their support so they can look into it.
Weird! I updated everything in windows update and the MS store and then updated to 1.1.3.8 and got excited and hopeful (THX1138!) that this would improve things or add functions. But, it seemed to be the same as 1.1.2.7 so not sure what was “fixed.” I couldn’t find a change log either. If 1.1.2.7 works for you, then stick with it. But hopefully all is good again. (!)
Somehow the new 1.1.3.8 makes it work first time, albeit first having to sit in the cockpit, alt tab and start the program, then redo the process on new airplanes… so something changed… not just the version number.
