I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but the 5 bespoke airports seem like odd choices to me? There are plenty of more “mainstream” Canadian airports that need a lot of love? Lots of those more mainstream airports are available to buy as 3rd party add-ons, but many more aren’t (while some of these bespoke airports are already available to buy as 3rd party add-ons).
I’m hoping that, over and above the photogrammetry, POIs and bespoke airports, they update the scenery and meshes and add a bunch of the Arctic airports that are missing from the game. (Even if just with the most basic autogenerated buildigs and runways.) I haven’t checked the western Arctic, but most airports in Nunavut and Quebec’s Ungava peninsula just outright aren’t there in the game.

I’ve been extremely disapointed with all previous world update because of bad satellite imagery not updated. Just have a look at Europe, I’m scanning about each of WU countries and it’s so bad. So I have no wait about Canada which is extremely bad right now, my house is not there, lot of bad texturing between Montreal and Quebec. Hope this will be updated. The only country very very good to me is England, about no texturing errors.

Does this include texture updates? That is what is needed the most, many parts of Canada are very poor.
Jeez, is Ireland really that bad? I haven’t checked it out in the sim, and that makes it look like I’m not missing much.

Just to set expectations on this appropriately so nobody is disappointed later, Jorg announced during today’s livestream that the Canadian Local Legend is the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver (scroll to 1:06:25 in the video for his comments about this).
The Beaver is a truly iconic Canadian bush plane, and we’re thrilled about its upcoming return to Microsoft Flight Simulator following its appearance in previous versions of the series. The bad news is that it won’t be launching simultaneously with WU11 like other planes in the Local Legend series. The good news is that all players will receive this plane for free when the 40th Anniversary Edition launches in November. The original plan was for the Beaver to release alongside the Canada World Update, but the team really felt it was a better fit for the 40th Anniversary Edition.
