Hi All.
I did my first night flight last night flying out of LEMG-EGKK, Straight away i noticed how bad it looked. Climbing out of Malaga i could see Madrid on the horizon Which looked like a beam of light . Cities there’s no definition, just bright light, no shadows, no area’s darker than others.
Then as i reached Northern Spain there was a regional airfield, Runway/Taxiways lit, But less than a mile away fields were lit up as if it was a town or village. I hope this is going to be rectified before too long, as the way it is, is far worse than anything we had in 2020.

I have to agree. The clouds look weird at night too. The stars and the Milky Way are far too bright. And in the cockpit I noticed a weird haze that disappears if you turn on the dome light (in the Fenix btw).

I had a flight last night from KPDX - KSAN in the Fenix , glads that is working in the sim as thats all I can fly with confidence at the moment , the default aircraft are not great.
I hope PMDG 737-800 can get in the sim soon as that another aircraft I love to fly.
The night lighting I like , but what I dont like and it looks cartoonish is the airport lighting , you can see all the airports at cruise although It was a bit stormy in Oregon last night so in and out of the clouds.
on the ground the taxiway lights are too big , the blue edge lights are massive and the centreline green lights don’t look realistic at all , they need to tone these down.
The actual runway lights have a yellowish tinge , so they need to be more whiter … all in all , bit of an immmersion breaker !!
I like the lights.
You can argue that not all cities illuminate the sky equally… but overall it is more or less correct.
However I do not like the implementation of the blue taxiway lights.

Airport lights are waaaaayyyyy too bright as well.

Compared to 2020 i like the nightlighting a lot. But esp. the blue taxilights are way out of this world… I mean… i see really small little airports who don’t even are open at night glowing more then 40k away… I cannot see the airport lights, but is see the blue taxilights>…

Do you fly often? as i have yet to see taxi routes lit up at night like that, with any airline i have flown with. Runway lights for sure. Taxi light’s never.
Just got home from work… will do it again in a bit and see if it has changed…
still the same… background and at the right side a lot of blue lights from some very small and military airports
Ik take off from rw21 EHEH (eindhoven airport) and i see EHBB and EBBL which are very very small airfields
