A few years ago I flew a night flight from EGLL to OMDB and between Bagdad and Kuwait the burn offs from the oil fields was clearly visible from an A380 at 30000+. It was amazing by it sheer scale.
Sadly so far, I can’t see it in MSFS:-(
I was wondering if volcanoes are equally extinguished at night, or am I wrong?
I once owned a luminous watch. That glowed in the dark. In fact if I covered it with my hand and peaked underneath my fingers, it was still glowing then too.
It makes me wonder, was it glowing all the time even in direct sunlight, or was it only at night? I suppose I’ll never know as I no longer have it because it came off in the sea.
Is it still glowing after 30 years underwater and would I be able to see it from an aeroplane?
Yeah glow in the dark watches from the 50’s and 60’d were painted with radium paint to give of the erie glow. I tried making a nuke out of my watch, but I couldnt find any dynamite for the initial charge. LOL!!!
Oh and yes if its underwater and able to get light from a source like the sun, then it still should be glowing underwater.
I flew over some weird regularly spaced red lights in Eastern Washington State. I checked out the sky vector vfr map and saw it was restricted airspace, then I google earthed it and saw the burned wrecks and craters indicating a USAF bombing range.
To be clear, I flew over it in the sim, no IRL F-22 intercepts…
