No difference in performance with/without DLSS3 Frame Generation

Dear All

I recently upgraded to a state of the art system (7800 X3D, 64 MB DDR5, fast SSD, NVidia 4700).

When I use the sim I get around 40 FPS on a medium sized airport with traffic on - in a PMDG 737-900. The thing is - when I activate DLSS3 - the frames stay the same.

I have DX12 (Beta) and vSync = Off.

Any idea why my frames are not jumpig up?

Which FPS counter are you using?

The one of the sim (dev-mode, debug - fps)

Use afterburner or the game panel (win G) one and you will see the correct FPS.

Did that - I get 42 FPS when over the clouds (24K ft alt) - I feel that this is a tad low for that rig, no?

Have you enabled Game mode and HAGS in windows and restart your computer?
Search on YouTube how to set up your 7800X3D correctly in Windows + Frame Generation. Here is one that I used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fhxlz6XCQE

Dev Mode FPS counter will show the true FPS and other FPS counters like Nvidia, game bar, afterburner will show the frame gen FPS which should be double like in this pic:-

thanks! I think not - will check!

OK - so the problem was located in front of the screen :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

One not only has to select the correct frame generation option in MSFS, you also have to select the correct option in anti aliasing. Simple as that.

Frames doubled ^^

Thanks guys!
