I’ve not been able to complete a flight in MSFS since Thursday. Last one I can recall completing was on Wednesday of this past week. The reason has primarily been one of two problems: either the simulator crashes to the desktop, or the live weather goes “insane” is the best way I can put it. On one flight I nurtured for 3 hours, the weather went berserk while on Final to BWI. The winds went every which direction, the altimeter went crazy, and the plane went down. That similar situation has happened twice so far. The rest of the time it either crashes early in the flight or late in the flight. I haven’t had this much trouble out of the game in more than a year.
I’ve racked my brain on what could be doing it. I’ve disabled mods, I’ve tried cleaning up my system and closing apps, but I can’t anything that will help the sim stabilize. Was something introduced with this Top Gun expansion that has destabilized the sim? Is there a known issue with a recent driver or something? At this point, the sim is unplayable.
Any advice would be appreciated.
