Just started getting the above error when I start the game (game seems already to be logged on with my ID) - but its telling me in order to get the necessary updates and go online I need to log on? - if I agree to log on the game just crashes!
any help appreciated…
i had this once, it went away after restarting the game i think. sorry if this isn’t useful, because i can imagine you already tried that.

I’ve had this too. It may be related to mods that now need updating in the Community Folder. Or not.
strangely I managed to get the sim running my clicking no to log in and then it seems to take me off line for the marketplace but at least I can run flights when I hit yes to log on sim just seems to freeze…
Did you just happen to install the SWS Zentih? Cause I’m getting it after doing that. Edit: Rebooting the sim seemed to make it go away. Who knows.
no never installed that one - strangely have not installed a mod in a few weeks - but problems seem to
have occurred just after the latest VR patch (firstly it seemed to losing internet connections then progressed to this package error)
had this once today. threw me into a loop at the “press any key to continue.”
I got stuck because i couldn’t find the “any” key 
Rebooted the game and that seemed to fix it

I had this exact problem. Your login is out of sync. I went to the support page at the top and searched Zendesk for the problem and found some instructions after much searching on the web. I couldn’t find that page the other day though, I don’t know why.
What you need to do depends on how badly you login is borked. Sometimes, it’s enough, if you have the XBox app loaded on your computer, to log out of that, uninstall that app, log out of microsoft store. Reboot your computer, reinstall the xbox app, log in to the store and into the xbox app, and then you should be able to log into the game again. It may have something to do with an update to Windows 10 20(H2), which it says is an insider preview edition, though some people say it’s not. I didn’t know I signed up for that, but that’s what the MSFS zendesk bug submit calls it.
If you’re more borked than that, there are a couple more steps you can do that I forget.
Search for corrupt login msfs 2020.

Do you have the liveries manager installed? I got the packages out of date issue just now. Got in the loop “Press any key to start” came out of it using task manager and launched the Liveries Manager and sure enough it installed an updated version. Game worked fine afterwards. May be a coincidence but thought it was worth posting. No liveries themselves needed updating , purely the manager itself
Just got the same thing about an hour ago, but mine didnt update just looped over and over again, Killed it and it started OK…Server Issues, everybody wanting to try out their new VR gear.
I’ve seen this a few times, most since I started using my new VR headset, but I don’t know if it’s related. I’ve just restarted the sim and/or rebooted and it went away, but I’m curious if anyone knows what this is, what I may have done or set wrong, and if it’s a problem?

When you click yes, are you able to go to the Content Manager and see if there’s any that need updated?
From what I’ve seen, it looks like some type of connectivity problem - not 100% sure.

Since there’s other’s with the same issue, I’ve moved your post into Bugs & Issues - Performance & Graphics. This is also the area for installation issues and error of what you are getting.
I think it might be related to starting either FS itself, or turning VR on before turning on WMR. (Windows Mixed Reality). But I’m not sure. Since I’ve been VRing, I run the main sim windowed (although that may help explain why my framerates go to absolute ■■■■ when I turn VR off), so I just X out and restart. Not sure if I’ve rebooted every time or not.
I’d estimate it’s happened about 3 times? That’s a guess, wasn’t keeping a log or anything. Regardless, either a restart of the sim or perhaps entire computer (possibly combined with turning WMR on first) seems to have made it go away.
I’ve kind of gotten into a habit of rebooting before I start the sim pretty much no matter what. I don’t know if it’s placebo effect, coincidence, or real, but it seems to make sim things in general run just a little smoother.
PS… What’s with these posts getting flagged and “hidden” for no good reason? Same thing happened to me yesterday, I think some people around these parts have some awfully thin skin.

PPPS… I’m such a VR noob, I’m just proud of myself for knowing what “WMR” actually is. 4,843 more acronyms to go and I might find I’m starting to know what I’m doing.
Interesting point. I’m seeing this more on the forum since VR release. Keep the log. If it can be reproduced, by you and others, everyone should make a report of it to zendesk.
Funny. Look at the acronyms when learning to fly in real life! Or just life in general.

Yeah but some of us with out VR have gotten this since the update, happened to me yesterday.
I found restarting solved the issue. It’s a bit of a weird one. I’ll report to zendesk. Have a nice weekend.

1)yes I have started using a G2 headset but usually don’t start it and win mix reality until in the game
2)strangely the issue coincided with the VR update - also I noticed load times (into the main menu only) got ridiculous (5 or 6 minutes) - the solution was to remove a big chunk of my (non essential mods from my community folder) - this seemed to cut the load times and then stopped getting the package warning!
3)don’t have the livery manager - can you direct me to this app? but I have the mega liveries pack installed manually with all the individual folders - this was some of the content I deleted from my community folders…
4)when I got the error and clicked yes to log in the whole sim just froze and would not let me into the log in screen! so just closed everything…
