well said…
So… No live weather injected anywhere on the planet right now. Is that correct?
They are of course entitled like everyone else to enjoy the Christmas break with their family, no doubt about that. The timing for the issues we face from SU7 and now this was really bad. But now when they return to work whenever that is, I would think Monday, they really need to demonstrate they are listening to us and that they care about the issues we report. Not only that they hear us but also take some action.
None of us bought into a beta or early access.
The Fireworks must have crashed the weather server…
Correct.
My friend, don’t be optimistic… If you you gave them money, it’s too late. If you have a subscription, it might not be too late. See how the whole quality of the sim is downgrading since release ? Why would you expect a miracle now ? Unfortunately…
This is MUCH MUCH more communication than we typically get from them, which makes me hopeful for a fix before Monday.
Unfortunately yes, we have seen much degradation and regression across areas of MSFS since its release; live weather in particular is one of those areas that has really suffered since SU7 and remains very broken in the beta too.
I really hope they are able to read and feel the general tone across the forums and in the beta and see the issues we face. If not then it’s as you say, unfortunate.
Calm down people… At least you’ll still see the “live weather” when you open your window and take a look at outside…
Yep… That’s not what I was expecting for the future of this sim when it released
I’m gonna do an OnAir flight in hopes that it’ll tempt Murphy and cause the weather to kick back on in the middle of the flight, which usually results in me getting docked for overspeed in the CJ4
Okay. Thanks for the confirmation.
Not working here as well (east USA). But this has been a problem for several months for me: Perpetual Incorrect or Missing Live Weather Before and After SU7
Live weather never worked fine and real since SU7 I think.
Just a suggestion for Microsoft or Asobo:
With this recurring server problems, I think you need to hire more competent Devops engineers.
Is this also related to disconnection issues?.. I keep getting the message every 30 seconds lost connection and the sim will attempt to re connect
I think it is likely that this outage is related to the change of year. Weather models typically contain hundreds of individual data records, each of which is stamped with the date and time for which the data is valid. The model output from MeteoBlue for the 1200Z model run yesterday (December 31) would have had data stamped for 2021 (before 0000Z) and 2022 (after 0000Z). Perhaps that broke something in the Azure post-processing algorithm that converts the MeteoBlue model data into a form that can be used in the sim.
If so, hopefully the system will recover later today. The 1200Z model run for January 1st should have the same year (2022) for all data records.
Yep, no live weather at CYYZ.
