No Oil Pressure in my DC-3

I can’t get my engines to throttle up. As soon as I go over about 1,200 RPM, they both fail. All instrumentation looks normal except Oil Pressure which is way too low. How do I fix this?

The normal way to increase oil pressure is to increase throttle. Don´t try to start this type of engines with it on idle. It has to be moved around 1 inch before starting them. You need to give them some power and let them warm up a bit as well. Also remember to open cowl flaps while in ground to prevent overheating, unless you are on really cold weather conditions.

Cheers

Does engine quickstart work? As stated, pressure will increase with throttle. I’ve never had an issue with the DC3 engines dying. Your mixture should be full rich, but you may have moved them for the photo.

I’ve been doing everything exactly as you described. The oil pressure remains very low, even when I increase throttle.

Hello,
We ask that people use Community Support for help. I moved your topic there.

I get the same bad result when I use the quickstart on the runway.

I would suggest removing the DC3 using content manager and then reinstalling. Also try the trick of switching the flight model to legacy, save, and then back to realistic.

Happening to me as well. Only with the left engine for some reason. As soon as it hits 1200 RPM it just drops the RPMs and oil pressure. I have been sitting here on the runway for about an hour now going through all the checklists. Feels like a bug rather than something I’m doing wrong.

I finally traced the problem to the bindings for my Honeycomb Bravo throttle levers. I have two unused levers. When I deleted the bindings for those, the problem went away
