i have had msfs since last year through beta and alpha with no problems despite having a slowish internet connection (17mb/s) however since the recent update i received a message telling me that my internet speed was too slow , and since then i have scenery that looks like FSX. I have set the options to default with no effect , if i look at the top left of the sim it says i am online and if i go into the xbox entry it says there are no problems. has anyone an idea how I can reset the settings so that it again downloads and uses photogrametry? it is also worth noting that the marketplace in msfs is also greyed out !
It sounds like it doesn’t have an internet connection. Maybe try a different region.
no problem with the internet , even msfs says i am online, but marketplace is greyed out as well as it not downloading photgrametry
Contact zendesk they will fix the grey out with your account.
Did you double check that you have everything downloaded in your content manager ?
Not certain of how helpful these tidbits might be, but there were:
- Issues with Windows Store that required use of wsreset (Marketplace is tied to Windows Store)
- Issues of Xbox accounts “locking” and not being able to fully connect - requiring some form of manual intervention on MS side on a per-account basis.
Use the Magnifying Glass (Search) and some natural language search terms, i.e., wsreset.exe, you’ll get a list of suggested topics that match. I’ve found a lot of answers this way - I just needed a starting point. Hope this helps.
Maybe use “manual cache” and preload desired regions?
My best guess would be what ever antivirus software you are using is blocking FS from connecting. Try checking your Firewall settings and see if you can set it to allow FS to connect.
thx i have done the reset with no luck will keep looking thx
Hey, did you manage to fix it? I have the same issue.
Thanks!
I kept having this issue and finally realized that you can go to Options > General > Data Connection > Photogrammetry and just toggle it from OFF to back ON again.
I fixed it just now by logging in and out of MSFS, even though I have the steam version
