I sympathise with you since a couple of weeks ago I was very much a VR newbie.
I had real problems with connecting the OQ2 by link cable to the PC. Sometimes it would connect, mostly not. Pretty damned frustrating tbh. I was on the point of giving up when I finally realised that I was pushing my system/HMD too much by tinkering (a common fault of mine) and plugging unreasonable settings into the debug tool.
I stick at reasonable debug settings now and thankfully it connects every time (crossed fingers)
