No third party content

During the latest update my PC hard crashed.

FS now opens normally, but no third-party content (planes or scenery) is shown. This is the case even for third-party content loaded through Marketplace.

Any ideas on where I should be looking?

Hey David. Just a quick stab here. Sounds like it’s possible MSFS doesn’t know where to find your Community Folder. Make sure your Community folder is still where you physically remember it was located (that it hasn’t been deleted accidentally), and then check your UserCfg.opt file (located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache) to verify it has a path pointer at the bottom that says, InstalledPackagesPath “<>path to your community folder<>”

If your Community Folder is still on your hard drive, just make sure the pointer in the UserCfg.opt file is pointing to the correct location. If not, change the pointer path in the UserCfg.opt file to the correct path.

For example, on my PC the Community Folder is located on my F drive in a folder I created called MSFS Main. The path statement in my UserCfg.opt file looks like this: InstalledPackagesPath “F:\MSFS Main”

That did the job thanks. I had caused more chaos than solved by reinstalling, but pointing the userCFG to the right location has solved the issue. Thankyou.
