I’d like to use abnormal checklist for 737 in VR.
I have a PDF with these checklists, however the PDF is a few hundred pages long. There are some 3rd party addons available that can display PDFs in VR however I don’t know any such addons that would allow to search in a PDF document. Without the search functionality it’s just not possible to find a relevant checklist when your pdf has hundreds of pages.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Maybe someone knows an addon that would allow searching in pdf in VR?
Breaking down the single long document into multiple short documents for each checklist is not an option as it will still be too many such documents.
I think as you mentioned none of the addons for VR are meant to be used like this. They’re a convenience rather than a serious tool. My suggestion is to bring a desktop window into VR where you can open an app on your computer to handle the PDF duties.
Yeah, you’re probably asking too much of a VR PDF add-on. Sky4Sim pad lets you break out sections from your PDFs but I don’t know if that’s manageable in-game with a multi-hundred page PDF. FSDesktop lets you put a desktop program in the toolbar, so that might be your best bet.
Otherwise, you’re going to have to break your PDFs up.
