Non-NXi G1000?

I have the need to use an older “standard” G1000 to replicate an aircraft without the NXi model.

Is there a G1000 that’s been updated without the NXi mod?

thanks

You may be able to uninstall the Working Title G1000 from the Content Manager, but I don’t know if the older default instrument is still in the core files.

I don’t think he can. The NXi as far as I know is not optional (i.e., no uninstall). There’s no going back to the Asobo launch code.

Weren’t the original files still at their original locations for backwards compatibility with older 3rd-party planes, unless you have the Marketplace add-on installed to override them?

Beware though that in addition to not being the NXi, it also is just really buggy and lacking in features.

So - high level summary - according to Working Title, the only way a plane can use the old Asobo Code is if it’s still pointing to the legacy AS1000. By extension, the Aero Files CommonBloom31 is pointing too, will also override the AS1000 code, and you get that improved version (but still not NXi).

If you’re using it for training or other experiences, it is missing all the base G1000 (non-NXi) functionality, no matter which version you use (Asobo or the Aero package). Not sure if that influences the desire to use that version.

I’m not aware of any current plane, stock or third-party, still pointing to the old AS1000 code, but anything’s possible if you know how to recode it I suppose.

@android111, curious if the Working Title legacy G1000 worked for you. I too would like to have the option of the non-NXi version as that is what I fly with IRL. Thanks

The question is which G1000 (original stock or NXi) is closer to a real G1000. I’d reckon you’re better off using the NXi.

I haven’t tried it again. IMO it would be nice if it got the same treatment as the NXi since far fewer real-world training craft have the NXi.
