Notes for update 5?

Just wondering if anybody has seen any patch / update notes for tomorrow’s update yet? I’m hoping they address the autopilot / co-pilot / navigational issues (particularly on the airliners). Also an option to “legit” refuel on bush trips would be nice, rather than resorting to a keyboard work-around.

Last time they published some notes before the patch… not all of them but more like generalized improvements.

Thursday 29th is Update 5 release.

No, it says October 27th. Thursday is the next Development Roadmap update.

Sure about that ? It says October 27 in the dev preview

LOL I hope not. It still had issues but it was in much better shape before the Japan update, in my opinion.

The “press any key to start” will be finally removed.
All the users without a keyboard with the “any” key will finally be able to play.

And the usual changes in every patch:

  • Weather will continue to be mostly random.
  • Something in the A320 will break.

Yeah, we know that the start button thing will happen. Hopefully there will be more than just that.

I’m happy that they are working to fix things, but the reason I called this release a nothingburger is for a months time these potato chip things are the only fixes we get.

The big problems remain elusive.

I’m not expecting much from tomorrow’s update. The proverbial nothingburger. The dev roadmap shows there’s pretty much nothing, much like last week’s update. They’re going to get rid of the “press any key” button which is probably the most substantial change that anyone will notice. Europeans will rejoice in the ability to switch to metric units in their planes. Let’s just see if ATC actually uses said metric units to even make the change worthwhile.

I’m pretty sure that the real bulk of the developer resources are being focused on VR, since MS need to fulfil their partnership obligations with HP. That and getting ready for the XBox version. There’s a reason why the substantial updates are scheduled for Patch 9 (end December) and everything else is listed as backlogged.

We’re not likely to see anything substantial in terms of updates or fixes until those 2 things are out of the way.

Will the “real” weather be finally fixed 8 weeks after release?
