I’m exactly the same Chris, we can’t be expected to test, especially when our addon lists with continue to grow. I have another thread here Great (Sarcasm) CTD on Loading - #4 by Skyward2019, hopefully Asobo fixes this ASAP
Sounds like countless other moddable games. The base code is changed and addons need to be updated. Just try to play Cities Skylines or Kerbal Space Program weeks after patch.
Do you have any information about changes in den manifest.json.
I tried to create an empty WASM module with the current SDK. But even if it doesn’t contain any code, it crashed. So the manifest.json would be a plausible cause.
My file looks like this:
{
“dependencies”: [],
“content_type”: “MISC”,
“title”: “WASM Test 2”,
“manufacturer”: “”,
“creator”: “StefanGr”,
“package_version”: “0.5.1”,
“minimum_game_version”: “1.14.5”,
“release_notes”:
{
“neutral”:
{
“LastUpdate”: “”,
“OlderHistory”: “”
}
}
}
And the layout.json:
{
“content”: [
{
“path”: “modules/WASM_Module2.wasm”,
“size”: 12288,
“date”: 132517602483582047
}
]
}
I didn’t get deep into the problem yet. It was just an assumption.
Ah, I see.
I would be happy, if anyone would find the root cause. I currently have no clue…
Yes i also got this.
I deleted completely the insides of the community folder and then used addon linker as before to replace them.
Some are there and function with the casual (but less) stutters in airports etc and some are shown as in the pic you have there
I deleted all that was in the community folder then used the linker but it says "not Installed " but I tried it out and it works fine regardless.
The FlyByWire stable A320 appears to work, but not the development
or experimental versions. Both the B787 and the B747 mods appear to work but not the Aerosoft CRJ. It seems that the aircrafts with an undercoating of Asobo aircraft work, at least in my system.
After I updated the MSFS…I had to wait along time for the CRJ to load but it worked fine after that…
I downloaded the latest SDK (v12) and built the StandAlone module from the examples. Copied it the the community folder and even that crashes FS2020 and it’s their own sample code!
That’ll probably be the delay that Aerosoft warned about on initial release and as MSFS has updated, it just has to do it again.
All should be good.
I been (and still am) having problems with my Community folder it seems.
I downloaded freeware liveries for the A32NX from flightsim.to and they do come up in the Community Folder after I download them, but in the actual simulator, I can’t see any new liveries.
Which version of the SDK are you using? The latest is 0.12.0.0, and it was just released a couple of hours ago.
Since the world update 4, All the products that I have in the community folder, in the content manager is shows that there are not installed. Does anyone else has this problem? even the orbix products that I have purchased. Please check your Content manager.
Same for everybody, don’t understand why.
yep mines the same although all addons working in the sim
Actually it says not installed but anyway they are working properly
Never happened before
It’s not for a specific add-on, I just added one very basic and the error was there
Every update so far has come with a little big surprise.
And this “NOT INSTALLED” tag is a special one for the WU IV.
The devs again managed to make us forget about the update and focus on such an irksome hassle again.
there are two issues , which are probably not connecter
- in content manager majority of community addons are listes as not installed
- looks like only cosmetic so no big deal
- some of standalone wasm modules (C++ code) are causing CTDs , this looks like an issue , as some of addons could use this (source: wt discord discussion)
probable culprits are AAO , FSUIPC and mobiflight (i am not using any of it , but this is info on various discord channels)
