ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Clicking on Notifications freezes the UI such that you cannot ESC out or Quit to Desktop.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Always

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Click Notifications.

  2. Clear the notifications.

  3. Try to Esc back or Quit.

What peripherals are you using: Keyboard and Mouse

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? 4080S

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? 9950x 64MB Ram

As you can see, Quit to Desktop has disappeared, and Esc is not responding. I get around this issue by clicking on Freeflight, then escaping back out from there. Once you escape from Freeflight, Quit to Desktop reappears.

Sorry, I had to rebuild my PC yesterday, and I forgot to go back into the Beta. I will check again once the Beta updates.

Issue is still present in the latest .31 beta.

Slight change in .31. You click again on the Notification Icon to close the Notification window, and Quit to desktop reappears. Also clicking anywhere else in the screen closes the Notification window and Quit to desktop reappears.

Why try those? Just click the notification icon again to close it.

It’s definitely a UI bug, but it’s around since a long time already unfortunately.

I also ran into it again yesterday, after clicking on the „upgrade available“ notification to get into the ingame marketplace.. after doing that, ESC does not work anymore until you mouse click yourself back into the top game menu..

It’s minor, but should be an easy fix.
