Thank you
looks great oh the memoriesā¦
If anyone needs, Iāve quickly put together an arbitrary checklist from Cold & Dark up to Before Takeoff.
The tutorial flight documentation seems to be missing a few key steps, so I felt the need to create something of my own. Donāt quote me on the accuracy though - this is just a stop-gap until something official is provided.
Great aircraft. The only thing I am missing is a failure system. Maybe in a future update!?
Sheās really, really hard to slow down for such an un-aerodynamic aircraft! If you are slightly high or slightly fast on final, expect to stay at flight idle the whole way down, in the sim. I think there needs to be some adjustment here. I will fly the 330 next and see how that goes (only flown the 360 variants so far).
Control locks are generally left on until takeoff .. and I understand your comments about rudder steering and yes you would be correct that the rudder is locked out BUT The aircraft uses a steering tiller ( you possibly donāt have an assignment for it ? )
Glad your enjoying the quirkyness though ![]()
MSFS has its own built in Failure system .. This is the reason we didnāt include one
For example try setting an engine for for a random time within your flight ..
(Bring tissues) LOL
Absolutely not .. I went to great pains to ensure accuracy ..
Try using the correct procedures ![]()
From cruise , set TQ 2.0 at Cruise PRPM & descend at a reasonable VSI (500 - 1000) To ensure safe speeds.
once youāre at approach altitudes drop the gear and set first level of Flap ..
TQ 2.0 should allow speed to decay to around 130 Kts for pattern entry
As you hit the GS (Or equiv if manual) set flaps 15 and Prop to full fine.
Reduce TQ accordingly to control speed at 100 + until Full flap then adjust TQ again to cross threshold at 105 and decaying to 90 Kts for Landing ..
EASY ![]()
I agree.
A proper failure system and wear and tear (as in the A2A Comanche, FS Reborn FSR500, FS Reborn Sting S4, Black Square aircraft, PMDG 737) would make this very good addon outstanding and even more immersive.
It would also provide a reason for flying the aircraft within its capabilities and give penalties for ābad flyingā. Whilst this would offer even more immersion it would also be helpful in improving our understanding over better flying practices and generally improve our flying skills.
I think this would be of great value to many of us here whether we are sim enthusiasts or RL pilots.
Notedā¦Iām going to try to spend more time across all the variants. I love flying these aircraft and Iām going to have lots of feedback as I learn, fair warning ![]()
I just flew the 330 Cargo and this is what I found:

Copilot fan switch animation issue (switch is duplicated)ā¦

The Collins ADI/HSI should have an internal light that does not require a panel post light. They are both extremely hard to read without. The post lighting system, I think, is pretty good and adequate for most of the instruments except it makes the ADI/HSI very hard to read.
(Reference image from a C90 King Air with the same avionics)
The ādoll eyeā indicators work well in the 330, every one of them is quite clear, but the LCD (?) equivalents in the 360 are very hard to interpret and I am not sure all of them are working properly. Next time I fly the 360, I will attempt to document more.
In case Any of you missed it ![]()
Here is a link to the fully updated new website
A proper failure system simulates wear and tear and has a chance of any system failing at some point as well as consequences and damages when operating the aircraft incorrectly.
Setting up a scheduled failure and knowing whatās going to happen is not the same by a long shot. Itās basically the same difference as Weather Presets vs. Live Weather.
Thatās why developers like A2A, Black Square and others do their own failure system. By the way: working circuit breakers are kinda pointless without a working failure system that can trip them.
Hopefully you reconsider at some point. ![]()
Iāve flown the Skyvan (profile picture) and it only looks like it was an unaerodynamic plane. It glides very well and it doesnāt slow down as quickly as one would think from the visual impression. You really need to take the nose up to reduce and then open those barn doors on the wings. ^^ Iāve never touched the big sisters but I assume they behave similarily. Those planes really fly well.
Just like to say cheers for the work on this aircraft.
Iāve only managed to download and do 2 circuits in a 330 as had to go away for a few days flying the real world jet , but the flight modelling feels very very nice indeed to me, and Iāve brought the manual away with me on the iPad to read.
I can usually tell if a flight model is good by the time Iāve got the 200 ft on the climb out , and this was certainly the case here, very pleasant indeed to hand fly.
I look forward to getting home next week and having a proper fly.
1 vote for British midland old two tone blue 330 , and later blue grey 360 liveries.
Thanks again, splendid work.
Can someone recommend some interesting approaches, where the shorts actually were flown in real life? Thanks in advance
Have you tried the Tutorial supplied ?
it contains a VERY interesting approach into Belfast City in some ānormalā UK Weather ![]()
Funchal in a 360 by Aerocondor short flight LPPS-LPMA
And Barra EGPR (Loganair???) from Glasgow?? Poss part of the Hebrides mail & pax flights which also stopped at Benbecula etc
@NightMercury358 Thereās a bug with the autopilot. If you disengage the servos without turning all modes off one by one beforehand, if you turn the AP on again no horizontal modes except for HDG are available, and the HDG turns on if you press any other horizontal mode (NAV, APPR) the only way to fix it is to start a new flight. I donāt think this is how this is supposed to work
I guess some shennanigans are inevitable with custom AFCS. Apart from this, and some typos in the manual - absolutely no complains. This will be a great addition to my collection. Now waiting for some liveries tho
Also regularly flown in to Heathrow & Gatwick
I posted this on a facebook post about the release, but reposting here in case the devs arenāt looking at thatā¦
Just got this today and have done a couple of flights, its really good, though a couple of issues Iāve found are the switches on the over head show an arrow cursor when you hover over them, if you click it when the arrow points up, the switch goes down and if you click when the arrow is pointing down⦠you guessed it, the switch goes up! Also the aircraft reg doesnāt seem to be on any of the liveries. Otherwise, really enjoying it.
Normally thatās me too, but I own the BN-2 which I got direct from BBS and my password manager didnāt seem to have a login for the website - so I had a look at every email Iāve ever had from them and what they say is true, they donāt do accounts.
Purchases are linked to email addresses not accounts so you donāt have to sign in to anything, the only information you have to give BBS is an email address so they can send you the key and download link.
You also need to give paypal enough info to pay for it, but all that BBS see of that is that youāve paid.
Theyāre a reputable dev and the plane is amazing, the manual is (from memory) 117 pages and the tutorial is a separate pdf. If you want a really nice small airliner that will zing along at close on 180 kts and isnāt pressurised so you donāt feel silly flying low (and slow) enough to enjoy the scenery then you wonāt be disappointed.
