When using FS starting the aircraft, when the engine runs ok and the aircraft runs fast enough
a message appears on the screen to “press numeric key 8 to lift the aircraft”.
Well this is TOTALLY WRONG because by doing so You push the aircraft tot the ground.
It should be and always was since 1982 “Numeric key 2”.
Legend: 2 is up, 8 = down, 4 is bank left, 6=bank right. 5=hold.
Big mistake, or?
The sim takes the tooltip from your keyboard bindings. Just check on your keyboard control bindings and review them. Chances are, it’s incorrectly bound to numeric 8 instead of 2.
Thanks for Your reaction Neo4316.
I have not changed what so ever in the tooltips of the keyboard bindings.
I work(ed) with the standard keyboard tooltips.
The message is simply wrong on the screen.
It says press key “8” to lift the plane, where in fact the plane lifts with key “2”.
MS-developers, why don’t your people react to my (serious) remark?
Ahh okay. I turn everything off including those messages, so that’s probably why I never noticed it.
