NVidia Driver 465.89 is a must have

I’ve got a 3080 GPU and 5900X CPU. I uninstalled my prior driver and installed 465.89. Flying the Bonanza out of John Wayne (KSNA) east of LA, performance was in the toilet. FPS maybe 20 tops and a lot of stuttering. GPU percentage seemed really low, 40ish percent. GPU was also running 25-30 degrees cooler (55C with fans barely running). With the old driver fans were screaming and temps hi 70’s. I have HAGS on.

This was my first time out there, maybe it’s a scenery thing. I’ll try it at my ole reliable KPHF on the east coast tomorrow to see if results are ok. If so I’ll stick with it and if not will be installing 457.30. I’ll follow up here afterwards.

UPDATE:
I apologize to those who read this post earlier, it was a false alarm.

I use EVGA’s PrecisionX to control the GPU fans and parameters. I noticed this morning that the max temp and percent was knocked way down, that must have happened when I installed 465.89. I reset everything and all is well. For me anyway, this driver appears to be a keeper.
