Yesterday I updated to 460.89, but this update, I removed all traces of Nvidia, before I installed the drivers, My bad – in the past, I have just updated the rivers, with what Nvidia call a “Clean Install” … but this time, I forced removal of EVERYTHING Nvidia.
The point is – Amazing improvement… I am convinced the Video looks better, I am getting good FPS, but the most important thing, for trh 1st time in Months … No CTD !!
Ran sim all night, flying across the USA , and its still running fine this morning, some 8 hours later … This is a 1st @@@
Maybe a coincidence, but it might seem there is a good reason to clean out all Nvidia on your system, before installing new drivers. The Nvidia “Clean” Install, may only go so far in “Cleaning” ??
Now, I just have to resist the temptation to mess with it anymore – If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
Of course, having said all this, it will probably CTD before I finish this post … but so far – so good
