I’ll try it, because I miss having Freestyle available.
But I’m getting good results with Reshade, which has much more granular control, so I might not use Freestyle anyway. I like being on the latest stable driver version.
I tried Reshade again but it was even more unstable.
Going to try Freestyle again but must admit I am not very confident
Reshade gave me nothing but crashes, and black screens. DX12, and DX11. Hopefully this works now. I’ve had Geforce Experience off of my machines for some time.
I had the same problems and uninstalled it. I hate this constant battle between Reshade and Freestyle, but that’s a whole nother subject. I read in a thread here Some reshade pics something to try.
TLDR it said to remove colorsort.fx from the reshade-shaders subfolder and to remove references to colorsort.fx from reshadepreset.ini. I’m torn between trying Reshade vs Freestyle again, but admittedly if I can get it to work I might not have to worry about future NVidia driver releases that might break Freestyle again - but surely that won’t ever happen, right?
Whelp that was a bust.
2 starts, 2 CTD’s within 10 mins.
but CPU utilization and 1% Framerates were much improved… for those 10 minutes.

Nvidia Freestyle Filters?.. lovin it!!!
Working perfectly!!!
So far so good here. No issues but only did a short flight. Intel 12700k, RTX3070ti, all settings ultra. Dx12 x dlss, 32 gigs ram. Win 11 canary in Dev mode. 40 fps most places Happy as Larry.
Nice!!! Can you share your FS settings?
Have you tried in DX11? Works fine in DX11 but when I switch to DX12 with FG, it crashes. Kind of defeats the purpose of owning a 4090…

Just to confirm, the freestyle filters do not crash w/ DX12???
Don’t know, haven’t tested DX12. But I will right now
If you can let me know, would appreciate it. I refuse to download a new driver until they fix the Filters crashing MSFS.
Hello!!! I’m in shock myself. I sat on the runway for a few mins, no problems DX12
EDIT: Back to DX11, DX12 robbing my fps. I can’t get GPU Limited without melting my card for the boost from reflex. 5160x2160 render lol, and still not enough
But it didn’t give you a CTD? Interesting. May see what others experience is like, but I really appreciate you trying this!
Happy I could Guinea Pig it for ya. Yeah, no ctds. I exited the sim normally. Filter running whole time, menus and all
I’m using DX 12. First time crashed within seconds. Second time it crashed before the airport loaded up. Turned off Filters and the crashes stopped for the 90mins I had the sim on
