No problems with my Q3 on an ASUS 5080.
Not NVIDIA, Windows Settings > System > Display > Color Profile (aka Color Management) > Automatically manage color for apps
That said, it only made a slight difference for me, if any.
Hey, how do you feel the overall performance ? Less stutter’s ? Smoothness how the sim is performing with this new driver, i would like to mention that i have rebar disable, always that im using rbar i have more sttuters!
Funny how that works every time as opposed to all the gyrations people go through.
During testing and a few flights, it was fine for me. The sim felt smooth and I didn’t notice any additional stutters.
Found a post on Meta forum, open oculus debug tool go to video code and change it to H-265 and seems to be working now with this new NVidia driver.
Well, I have tried all 3 methods and none of them get beyond the loading stage for MSFS2024.
Frustrating, but I shall now wait for the fix. There is something on my system that it plainly does not like.
Have been using this codex with good results. Not sure you are aware but the USB3 connection is now pretty much mainstream with Virtual Desktop.
Just a quick question: can you confirm that NVIDIA streamlines are automatically updated and overlay the game streamlines? I’m currently testing with the 610.88 drivers. I haven’t touched any of the sim files, but it shows streamlines 2.12.129, which are the latest. If I look at the sim and see what streamlines show, it’s 2.11.
Surprisingly this driver actually works well on my rig. First latest one I have been able to use in about 2 years. It even plays nice with P3D.
Very good on my end with an RTX 4090. Not coming across any stutters. I cleared the GPU shader cache.
Thank you so much, for the detailed driver analysis and comparison!
616.64 is out
If you are upgrading to or currently using version 616.64, keep the following in mind:
- Flicker Unresolved: NVIDIA representatives confirmed that the code for version 616.64 was finalized before a permanent fix for the intermitted desktop/browser flickering could be integrated. [1]
- Upcoming Hotfix: A dedicated hotfix driver explicitly targeting the gamma/flickering bug and virtual display creation failures is expected to follow shortly. [1]
- Power Management Bug: Version 616.64 also carries an open issue where the “Prefer Maximum Performance” toggle in the NVIDIA Control Panel may fail to apply correctly. [1]
