Hey Team… Ive set my settings to ULTRA, but NVIDIA said I should set them to something else…have a look at the pic what do you reckon? ULTRA looks pretty good, why would I set less???
I find TAA is mandatory.
I usually use Nvidia’s recommendations (MSFS is supported in version 452.06 released 17-Aug) . But ■■■■, it’s recommendations for me is to set everything to low.
I’ve a R5 2600X, RTX 2060, and 16gb of RAM @ 3200mhz. I could run ultra on 1080p and high-end on 1440p okay for the routes I’ve been flying.
So yeah, I didn’t like their algorithm’s optimal recommendation either.
I did check this out with nvidia before and ignored it as wouldn’t have made use of the ability of my hardware.
How did you get the NVIDIA recommendations?
It’s found in GeForce Experience.
Geforce experience
Try the slider instead of optimizing button, agree it is way too low…Click on the gear button, upper right on geforce experience screen for msfs. BE SURE to select your screen setting 1st, (at top) then use the slider. Mine set at 2nd from right with my specs as example.
It gives you a great start point, then back to sim and test. Now you can fine tune it.
Hi guy, thank to this topic, i dicovered and downloaded this Gefore experience…but it doesnt find the flight sim…i put mine inb my E drive…same problem…i dont really find the flight sim file…i have only the community folder…as in C, i cant find the AppLocal or Appdata under “users”…again, all i have is the community folder but i dont have the flight sim “root” with all the files…thanks for your help
it asked me also to install the Gefore Game ready driver ? does it help in the performance of the game ??
That sounds like an update of your drivers
Nvidia recommendation are never good to me. I’m ether can run games on higher settings than its suggests or it will recommend me settings I can’t run with decent fpc. It’s useless really.
when you install Experience then you have to tell it where all your game locations are.
On experience main screen top right gives (wheel) settings > then on new screen on leftside ‘Games’ > Scan location > add all folders that may contain games. When added scan for games and your done.
Would agree with this. I use TAA and reduce other settings to get back performance.
I have installed the latest version of both Geforce experience and the driver. But it does not find the game even if I let it search my entire harddrive. Any suggestions?
try adding desktop to scan.
i have msfs on my c drive , experience found my app in no time
Didn’t find anything. For me it is on a seperate drive that I use for FS only. I even tried searching all my drives.
Is there any way to point it directly to the .exe?
nope , if you have the MS store version you can’t get to the exe file at all. But experience should pickup on every APP installed on windows.
I have the retail disk version. Even tried searching the DVD in a desperate hope to solve the issue.
