Hi all…I was gifted this and would like to know if a PC dummy can work this into my HP PC without any knowledge of how too…I see the slot but it’s occupied with a intel optane 16gb…I’d appreciate a little help if possible…Thanks in advance…

Where can I find the model number on my computer?
- Click on Start.
- Click on Search.
- Type Msinfo32 and hit enter.
- Click on System Summary on lefthand side.
- On right hand side you will be able to see details of your system where you will see System Model.

Unfortunately, that motherboard is quite limited. Am I correct in assuming the Optane module is in the slot I referenced?
The other M.2 slot is not able to use an NVMe drive.
Also, I only see two SATA ports. I’m assuming one is for your system drive/
That leaves you one. You could add a 2TB (around $80) or 4TB (around $170) internal SATA SSD drive to your system to store MSFS-related files, including the program and all addons. It wouldn’t be as speedy as an NVMe drive, but your options are quite limited.
Or you could get an external USB 3.0 enclosure (example here) for the NVMe drive. At least then you could use the drive you were gifted.
Sorry for the late reply Poet228…lost a loved one…you are correct though and I got a case too with the gift…I took your advise and used it to backup my PC…I’m going with a 2tb ssd as you recommended…Thanks for the time and advise…much appreciated…
