I read about the advantages in fps updating this file . Downloaded it and tried to substitute in : D:\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.34.16.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
The operatiod is rejected as seems I need Administrator permission in order to change, move or even rename this file. Naturally, I’m the administrator and only user of my pc.
There is apparently no way to change permissions on the entire folder and all subfolders and files.
What’s the proper way to have full access to such folder and files ??

If you have to ask here i don’t think you should do it, it can mess up your windows pretty badly.
After i reinstalled windows and the sim, the files is in a different folder and no longer protected.
But not worth the hassle, for me the updated Nvngx makes no difference in performance.

I don’t fully understand your answer. I ask here because this folder is unaccessible even to administrator, and this must be a block generated by MSFS installation itself. So I think this is the right place to ask infos about this unusual setting. I tried all the methods indicated in Microsoft Tech pages, but don’t get positive results.
Do you mean that the only way to solve is to reinstall the sim in another folder/disk ?
It is possible to change the ownership of the windows app folder, but it is risky, it may be possible to move the installation, but I’m not sure. If no one answer you here just google it.
I’m not sure you guys are talking about the right folder. I installed my app to the H drive outside the windows folder and it called the folder H:\ XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator. The dll file is located here and there are no special permissions to access it.
There is also a Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder under C:%username%\AppData\Local/Packages. This does NOT have the dll file.
If you installed the sim long time ago, the default folder whit the exe and other core files was in the locked windows app folder.
I installed the sim in disk D: and the folder is WindowsApps, not XboxGames, so seems that every installation is different, depending on user and machine…
