OAT of 248 C ?! (Impacts negatively on aircraft performance and autopilot function)

It’s happening again and even at lower altitudes now. I’m doing RPVM to WMKK and Temps are whacked at FL180

It’s BAAAACK! Just had it happen at only 6000 ft near P16 in the middle of the pacific. :disappointed_relieved:

Yep. I can barely get off of the ground. Sad.

Actually just starting to realize it’s now at ALL altitudes.

Same here. Took off from KPDX and after about 1200MSL the OAT shot up to 267C.

Restarted simulator, started the flight over, and the results were the same.

Canceled all flying tonight due to MS/Asobo solar flare

It’s back again. Made it off the ground just before the engines failed.

Now it’s doing it right after takeoff and killing airplane performance. I was wondering why I started to climb in the CRJ and suddenly lost all performance and got a brake temp warning.

And the bug is back. At 400 feet ASL on the ground, altimeter wildly inaccurate. Zero engine performance just after take-off. Took a while to realise what was going on, until I realised the outside temperature was 151 degrees. So that’s another flight ruined, and several warnings from my virtual airline..

Has there been any official announcement on this?

I experienced it shortly after takeoff and temps shot up over 150C. Oddly enough you can fly out of the hot spot, if your engines haven’t failed and crashed. Even a restart saw the same problem load with live weather.

1000ft and all is fine at 21c

1700ft and a just seconds later and 172c

Followed shortly by an engine fire and a crash.

Too Funny! 271c at 2100ft
Live Weather: 0500 zulu, west coast us server.
It took 2 trys hitting 999+ c, killing both turbines, t/o in the Rhino and falling like a brick,
before I figured it out…

T/O in in TBM for screenie..

Immediately after TO at KAZO - it’s snowing here and these are the temps lol - goes from -4 to this instantly about 200 feet off the ground:

Yesss…Live Weather is messed up again.

Just had an Asobo solar flare, just after v2 climbing through 100o feet at Stockholm arlanda. Back to trains till the solar flare passes

Same here, out of GCFV this morning in the FBW and shortly after take off, the engines throttle back. Checked the OAT and it’s showing +274C. Switched off Live Weather and the issue has gone away.
I did turn Live Weather back on again as a test and it’s instantly hotter than Hades outside..

Same here, it’s back.

Give us pre U7 weather (i thought it looked better than the update anyways lol), surely that’s easy enough

Then we can at least fly as/when we want

Sheesh

261°c at 11.000ft, over algerian sahara

215 C after take off from EPKT

Same problem again after take off in Frankfurt…very dissapointing!

Same for me. Taking off from Dublin 4c on ground and at about 1000ft its suddenly 200c plus. T
