Observation about SU beta performance versus GA release performance that I wanted to put out for public discussion

My experience: become early adopter of Sim Update betas, download and install immediately, typically flying within hours of release, certainly by nighttime (US Central time, day of release) - the sim never performs smoother than when I’m on a fresh build of a beta.

As this version gets tinkered with and ingested into subsequent flightings and eventually GA release, there’s a marked decrease in performance and reliability with respect to crashing.

This is noted on my Xbox Series X and I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed it as well. I’ve observed this going all the way back to 40th Anniversary release…SU10 was it?

Posting this not to complain, but this is something I’ve made offhand remarks about in past comments and I wanted to open it up to discussion because it seems to me that herein, somewhere, lies some information on the server-side performance of the sim that could help out the developers.

First few flights in Su14 were fun and trouble free on Series X. Flew the new SR22T a few times, the JF Piper Warrior, and the 787-10 from KSAN (BMworld/Amsim) to KDEN (Flightbeam) in live weather (no traffic): I found the performance to be just as smooth and satisfactory as before Su14. The only crash came from an add on airport that I know causes problems, KSMO Santa Monica (AgSim). USA Modern Cities 1 Los Angeles looked great and that was before yesterday’s update. I fly without ATC so I have no feedback on those changes. The only issue I had was the new SR22T would not climb after takeoff in FLC like every other model I fly in MSFS when set as required in the G1000NXi, but that should get worked out along with any elevator trim issues folks are reporting. That all said, I remain in the glass half full user group for MSFS on Xbox: when I sim within known limitations, everything works and I have fun. Good (test) flying!
